CIDISS. Election of regional heada is a party of democracy, in which people will exercise their right to vote or to support certain candidates based on objective, free, and non-pressure evaluations. Election of regional head is a day of accountability about what candidates have done for the nation as a determinant of the eligibility of a candidate to be elected or not elected. The right to vote is the only right that is most proud to the people, because it is in the election that people become judges for leaders and candidates for leaders.
Nevertheless, a number of election-related issues are still occurring, ranging from the neutrality of election organizers and the State Civil Apparatus (ASN), to money politics and SARA issues. In addition, there are also issues related to hate speech that discredit, voter list validity, dispute over results in the Constitutional Court (Constitutional Court), as well as issues of dispute between candidates
However, the facts on the ground say something else. In the moment of democracy party, some people just do not enjoy cheerfulness and independence as a voter. There are a number of movements that can be identified as the terror of voter independence, either through non-credible surveys, destructive chain-breaking messages, dramatization of potential post-election hazards, elite election drawings, , and intergroup (SARA), and so forth.
Without good oversight from the organizers, elections 2018 will not run smoothly and can cause new problems that can hamper the achievement of a peaceful process of election of regional head.
As a result of all these incidents, it is not surprising that most societies doubt the results of the elections and do not believe in creating a stable government. Let alone a credible and sovereign government, peaceful elections will be difficult to achieve. For that, let us together build a moral and awareness from within ourselves to realize a peaceful 2018 election without being colored by cheating. It should be remembered that not only regional election organizers can realize the creation of peaceful elections, but this role is also centered in the community. The active participation of the community in regional election is urgently needed.
