The implementation of the Presidential Election in 2019 is already done halfway because voting already been done. At present, there are 2 candidate pairs who will participate in the most prestigious elections in Indonesia, namely Joko Widodo – Ma’ruf Amin and Prabowo Subianti – Sandiaga Uno. As a participant in the presidential election, the two candidates have very many supporters, even outside their success teams so that there are often violations that occur, even though it is actually taken by the candidate pairs and their success teams.
In its implementation, both parties accused each other of fraud committed by each. Cheating is thought to occur in various forms and each candidate pair believes that this will affect the outcome of the general election later.
This issue grew so that several community groups began to doubt the government’s performance as organizers of elections. There are even parties who raise allegations that the government is not transparent in holding the 2019 General Election. These disappointments and doubts are naturally owned by the public considering this year’s general election using a new system so there are still a number of gaps that need to be optimized.
However, this does not mean that it can reduce the credibility of the government in holding general elections. The public may doubt, but that does not mean not believing completely. Remember, a new system will certainly have many indicators that need to be corrected. On the other hand, the government does not just stay quiet and try as much as possible to deal with all the shortcomings that occur in this election. It should be borne in mind that the general election system has also gone through a lengthy evaluation process so that the government certainly has prepared anticipatory steps that can make the general election run honestly and fairly.
