The idea of the caliphate that was exhaled by Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia (HTI) is clearly prohibited in the Republic of Indonesia, although that does not mean that this understanding will be lost even though the HTI Organization is no longer recognized in Indonesia. The public was also asked to be aware of the spread of radical ideology by former HTI.
In Kalangsari Village , Rengasdengklok District , Karawang Regency to be precise in the Tarikolot hamlet . A number of people staged an action at the Mushala . They refused the arrival of a group suspected of being former members of Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia (HTI).
Jaenabun , a local youth leader accused the congregation at the mosque of being former HTI members. They often spread their understanding by using local houses of worship.
He said that this movement was purely from the conscience of the people regarding issues that occurred in the religious domain which we did not want.
The residents came to the Mushala carrying a number of posters that read rejection of the activity which was suspected of being a former HTI member. Jaenabun has the principle that his party strongly rejects the activities of the former HTI which are suspected of often carrying out activities to promote the understanding of the Caliphate .
According to Jaenabun , so far HTI has been banned by the Lantara n government from carrying out an ideology which they consider inconsistent with Pancasila, which is the basis of the state. Thus, if HTI insists it will certainly cause polemics and unrest in the community.
Jaenabun emphasized that his party came from various youth groups, religious leaders by consensus, unified and firmly stated that they rejected HTI and its ideological understanding, both in the Kalangsari village area and in the Karawang Regency.
In addition, HTI and its allied groups are also a serious threat if they are not taken firmly by the local authorities. Of course this will be effective if it is accompanied by the role of citizens.
On a different occasion, a former member of the Islamic State of Indonesia NII, Ken Setiawan, believed that the former members of the prohibited group that had been dissolved by the government still needed an organization.
The banned organizations in question are Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia (HTI) and the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI).
According to the founder of the NII Crisis Center, people with radical views do need an organization so that they can continue to exist in calling for propaganda.
Ken assessed that during the administration of President SBY, the HTI and FPI groups were left free to move. However, President Joko Widodo has now taken a firm stance to ban the two organizations.
Although the two organizations have been formally banned, members and sympathizers are suspected of continuing to carry out activities.
In line with Ken’s statement , Abdul Hakim as Deputy Chairperson of the Branch Leader of the Youth Movement (PC GP) Ansor Gresik, asked the public not to be careless and to remain alert to the movements of the former Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia (HTI) group, especially on Social Media.
He considered, after the dissolution of HTI by the government, it would not necessarily stop its activities in spreading their version of the Khilafah ideology / ideology .
They also take advantage of the rapid development of technology in order to spread the understanding they believe in.
Abdul Hakim explained that the existence of the former HTI group and their propaganda movements could be detected, for example from their habit of creating and neutralizing hashtags on social media.
Apart from that, what needs to be taken into account from the impact of the dissolution of HTI is the activities of those who use the guise of a container by using names that can deceive the community.
The status of HTI legal entities has been officially revoked with the issuance of the Decree of the Minister of Law and Human Rights Number AHU-30.AH.01.08 of 2017.
This certainly has an impact on the activities of former HTI in preaching which are no longer as free as before. However, with the advancement of social media today, of course it can be used by them.
Abdul Hakim also hoped that the public would not let their guard down against the former HTI movement, especially on social media, which threatens the integrity of the Indonesian nation.
Now HTI will indeed not be able to hold big events, but they will maneuver massively, either on social media or hitching a ride on the names of big organizations and disseminating da’wah about the caliphate state .
We also have to be careful when we find posts that contain narratives regarding the invitation to form a caliphate state , because the concept of a caliphate itself has been rejected by Pancasila, which is the basis of the state thanks to the thoughts of Indonesia’s founding father .
