Radicalism in Indonesia is a common enemy that can hamper the nation’s development, one of the country’s parasites is arguably a very neat and organized state system.
When observing the condition of the country lately, of course we can not deny that Indonesia is infected with a virus of radicalism and corruption which is very acute, both of which have a negative impact on the development of the country and the people of Indonesia.

The public and netizens are busy with topics concerning the revision of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) law. Along with the emergence of the KPK Law revision movement, the issue of radicalism was inserted in it. At least to provide a strong justification for the planned revision of the KPK Law.

The danger of radicalization and liberalization in ASN requires more serious handling. The threat of radicalization at various levels has entered various ministries / institutions. The threat of radicalism also occurs in institutions that are often the last hope of the community in the fight against corruption in Indonesia, who else if not the KPK. The information that develops in the community is the development of intolerance in the KPK. This development is suspected to be the cause of selective logging in handling corruption cases by the agency.

The involvement of former KPK advisors in rallies involving exclusive groups in responding to the results of the 2019 elections the other day needs to be watched out for. Likewise, we need to pay close attention to the involvement of KPK commissioners and employees with certain exclusive groups. On the internal side, it is necessary to look at recruitment, education and coaching patterns for KPK employees.

It is worth reviewing the history of the formation of the KPK through Law No.30 of 2002 concerning the Corruption Eradication Commission. The law is a strengthening of the State Executing Commission (KPKPN) which was based on Law Number 28 of 1999 concerning State Administrators that are clean and free from Corruption, Collusion and Nepotism.

After the issuance of Law No. 30/2002, the KPKPN became part of the KPK as part of the Preventive Bidanggat in the Corruption Eradication Commission. The employees who work at the KPK come from various government agencies such as the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu), the Supreme Audit Board (BPK), the Finance and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP), the Indonesian Police and others.

The involvement of various government agencies in the internal KPK needs to be reviewed comprehensively considering the development of intolerance in various Ministries and Institutions has been at an alarming stage, especially those from the Ministry of Finance.

The statement of the Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani on the inauguration of echelon 2 and 3 officials within the Ministry of Finance in June, is a warning to the state civil apparatus within the Ministry of Finance to stay away from radical groups and return loyal to Pancasila as the basis of the state.

Strictly speaking, we certainly understand that radicalism is clearly not Pancasila and indeed wants to undermine the ideology of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI), the basis of the Pancasila state. Of course, with the Corruption Eradication Commission that is directly under the President of the Republic of Indonesia. As is well known the establishment of the KPK Supervisory Board, is one of the goals that will result from the Revision of Law Number 30/2002 on the KPK currently being completed by the DPR RI.

On the other hand, Communication Expert, Ade Armando said, many Islamists were found in the ranks of KPK employees, both among investigators and other employees. Although not included in the majority, the group is very active and has a loud voice. Ade noted, approximately 25% of all KPK employees. However, they actively organize themselves and do politics in the KPK office. While moderate Islam and Christianity, do not do such a thing.

It was these Islamist employees who at the time of the 2016/2017 Pilgub were involved in the 212. movement. They invited Islamic clerics to the KPK mosque, including the cleric Zulkarnaen. This certainly becomes homework for the elected KPK leader Firli Bahuri. He himself has said firmly, that radical groups are destroying the ideology of the nation. In this case it is important that the KPK leadership show a firm attitude to anyone caught caught damaging the Indonesian flag.
