The virtual world was excited by someone claiming to be an influencer, claiming to have received a corona booster or a third vaccine at the DKI Jakarta DPRD. The news that shocked social media turned out to be untrue.
Secretary of the Council (Sekwan) of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Augustinus, emphasized that there was never a third vaccination activity in his building. He believes that the issue of influencers getting the third dose of Covid-19 vaccination at the DKI Jakarta DPRD is a hoax. This is because the new vaccinations received by the DPRD are Sinovac and AstraZeneca.
Meanwhile, the third vaccine is currently only intended for health workers and the vaccine used is the Moderna vaccine. So he believes there is no vaccine or booster using Moderna. It also reports every day, the vaccines received and how many people are vaccinated per day are indeed reported.
Previously, it was reported that the issue of an influencer claiming to have received a corona booster or third vaccine was viral on social media. This information stems from an IG Story screenshot which was later widely discussed on Twitter. It was narrated that there was a celebrity who wrote a statement that he was being vaccinated against Covid-19 for the third time.
Responding to this, the Spokesperson for the Covid-19 Vaccination of the Indonesian Ministry of Health, Dr. Siti Nadia Tarmizi, stated that the incident was being investigated further. It is known that the third dose of Corona vaccination has only been given to health workers because they are at the forefront of handling Covid-19. Meanwhile, according to Dr Nadia, the community does not need to get a Covid-19 booster vaccination or a third vaccination.
Some time before, Budi Gunadi Sadikin as Minister of Health, Budi Gunadi Sadikin, did not deny that some officials wanted or wanted the Moderna vaccine. However, Minister of Health Budi hopes that the public can understand that the priority of vaccination is for health workers because they are the group most at risk during the Covid-19 pandemic.
That’s why the government gives priority to health workers first, because we know that the efficacy of the vaccine is good and we also know that health workers are a priority, because they encounter high levels of virus.
He knows that many people want to get a third injection, even though there are still many colleagues who have not received the vaccine. However, everyone who has taken two doses of the vaccine, of course, already has high antibodies to fight the corona virus. Therefore, people who have received the second dose of Covid-19 vaccine do not currently need to get a booster or third dose of vaccination.
A third booster or vaccination is enough to be given to health workers who are at the forefront of handling the Covid-19 pandemic. In the official Instagram account of the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Health stated that Indonesia had started the third vaccination for health workers on July 16, 2021.
Vaccination injections were started at the RSCM, followed by 50 FKUI professors and a number of doctors. The third type of vaccine given to health workers is the Moderna Covid-19 vaccine, which has a higher efficacy of 94.1 percent compared to Sinovac which is only 65.3 percent.
So far, the implementation of the third dose of vaccination, reported no serious side effects. The health workers who underwent vaccination also admitted that they did not feel any significant symptoms or reactions. The government has provided 1.4 million doses of Moderna vaccine for the Third Vaccination for health workers who are struggling to serve Covid-19 patients.
It should be noted that Article 4 5A paragraph (1) of the law states that anyone who intentionally spreads false and misleading news that results in consumer losses in electronic transactions may be subject to a maximum imprisonment of six years and/or a maximum fine of Rp. 1 billion. The Ministry of Communication and Information also urges the public to be able to wisely use technology and not misuse it to spread hoax information.
With the number of confirmed cases of covid and as the progress of vaccination progresses, of course the hoax narrative must be immediately taken down and the perpetrators must receive consequences, either in the form of legal action or social sanctions that can provide a deterrent effect, so that there will be no narrative that will cloud the atmosphere of handling the Covid pandemic. -19.
