In the midst of the pandemic crisis in Indonesia, the impact of the decline did not only occur in the economic sector, but had an impact on all aspects. The government has made efforts to optimize these conditions by innovatively providing many alternatives to stay active in the Covid-19 era. Starting from echoing health protocols in all places, to vaccinating the public.
Once delayed, the XX National Sports Week (PON) will be held in October with careful preparation. Moreover, it is held in the middle of a pandemic, the preparations that must be made must be twice as common as usual.
Participants who take part in these activities will later be vaccinated and the event will continue with strict health protocols, as the Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) once said that this XX PON will be held without direct spectators. However, the public can still enjoy this activity through live broadcasts.
Participants who took part also looked enthusiastic, as evidenced by several media reports that even though they were hindered by Covid-19, the athletes were enthusiastic about taking part in training to fight in the upcoming XX PON activities and were ready to create a conducive and supportive atmosphere during the event.
The XX PON in 2021 which will be held in Papua is supported by various layers of society, the reason is that even in the midst of the difficulties that are currently occurring, we are required to be able to continue to carry out activities as usual even though it must be with different terms and conditions.
However, with the support and trust of netizens, especially millennials, people work hand in hand to believe that XX PON is one of the government’s efforts to restore the national economy that had collapsed in the midst of the pandemic.
