The armed separatist criminal group (KKSB) is an unsettling rebel organization, because it uses senpi to frighten citizens. They even caught the plane burning. Although there were no casualties, this incident made the community even more antipathy to KKSB.
Papua is an exotic area and has experienced a lot of progress. It is proven that the provinces of Papua and West Papua are trusted to host the 2021 National Sports Week (PON). However, unfortunately there are problems in Cendrawasih that are still chronic, namely the disturbance of the rebel group, aka OPM.
Intan Jaya is a particularly vulnerable area in Papua, having been harassed by separatist groups on several occasions. Several times KKSB, troops belonging to the OPM, carried out shootings there. On January 6, 2021, there was another tragedy in Intan Jaya, when an airplane belonging to the Mission Aviation Fellowship was set on fire by an armed separatist criminal group.
Socratez S Yoman, President of the West Papua Baptist Churches Union, reacted strongly to the incident. The reason was that the MAF planes were filled with missionaries. So that the burning is against the majesty of God.
In that sense, how could they burn planes and threaten the safety of religious leaders?
It is only natural that Socrates was angry, because the missionaries were peacemakers, but were instead blocked by KKSB. According to him, Papua is a large area but it is damaged by various external interests.
Because they want natural wealth on the Earth of Paradise. So that it takes advantage of separatist groups who tend to be emotional.
Socrates continued, to mengademkan region of Papua, there needs to be a spiritual shower and unifying peace. Therefore, he and his group are aggressively sending missionaries to remote areas of Papua. However, the KKSB burned their plane, making it difficult for them to transport to mountainous areas and other remote areas.
As a community leader, Socrates represents the conscience of Papuan civilians. Because they are tired of all KKSB cruelty. Naturally, the public immediately condemned the burning of the plane. Even though there were no fatalities, of course the owners suffered hundreds of millions of losses. Then KKSB didn’t want to take responsibility and just ran away.
Especially if the fire spreads to the aviation fuel storage section. It is feared that it will explode and cause further casualties. What if this bad possibility actually happened? If there is a victim, it can be categorized as premeditated murder. Moreover, flames can actually spread to the body of KKSB members themselves, so it is very dangerous.
Colonel Nyoman Suriastawa, Head of Information III for Papua Region, stated that the burning of the plane involved the masses and there were brutal actions by them. This condition will create fear among the community. In addition, KKSB has also threatened to disrupt every civilian flight in Papua and West Papua.
The KKSB threat is very unsettling, because flight disruptions make transportation very difficult in Papua. The reason is that there are still areas that are difficult to reach by land on the Cendrawasih Earth, such as in Yakuhimo and several other areas. So it really needs a plane as the main means of transportation.
When KKSB threatened to burn the planes, they also caused problems for many people, because apart from obstructing transportation, the distribution of basic necessities and other goods would also be difficult. Therefore, KKSB and OPM must be eradicated. So as not to disturb the community and disturb life, order and peace in Papua.
The burning of the missionary plane in Intan Jaya, Papua, by the KKSB was an unlucky incident that harmed many people. Because missionaries find it difficult to spread peace on Earth of Paradise. These separatist groups must be arrested so that they no longer mess with Papua and scare civilians there.
