#DiRumahAja is a Contribution To Help Countries Fight The Corona Outbreaks

Covid-19 or Corona Virus Disease 2019 has now become a worldwide concern for the past 4 months. Starting in one area in Hubei Province, China, the virus then spread to more than 180 countries in the world with hundreds of thousands of people infected. Indonesia also did not escape the arrival of Covid-19 with its first case in early March 2020, which is now counted since April 5, 2020 the number of people who have been infected with Covid-19 as many as 2,273 people.

Various steps have been strived to reduce the spread of the virus, from information about the symptoms of Covid-19 infection, prevention tutorials, referral hospital information to calls to reduce activities outside the home. The most striking form is the call for creativity from homes that are now incessant with hashtags at home (#dirumahaja) by replacing activities that originally required outside the home to work, school, campus, to worship, now diverted to be done at home.

The policy was decided by President Joko Widodo to minimize the level of distribution of Covid-19 in the community. One of them is by Work From Home (WFH) and transferring online school and college learning methods. The impact of the policy has made many roads in various regions, especially areas with patients affected by Covid-19, more lonely and seemingly deserted.

Based on medical results, the incubation period of the virus in the body is around 14 days, which in that time span the possibility of people affected by Covid-19 is still not aware of the virus lodged in the body but the symptoms have started to appear. #Dirumahaja’s efforts can prevent viruses from people affected by Covid-19 who have mild symptoms because they do not transmit to others by following the advice to remain at home. Guidelines and procedures for examining patients with symptoms of Covid-19 have also been mass-informed in areas so that people who have symptoms of Covid-19 can follow these guidelines. Thus, the effort to remain at home while maintaining health, cleanliness, and staying alert is one of the efforts in helping to minimize the spread of Covid-19.

The contribution for those not affected by Covid-19 and who do not have symptoms of Covid-19 is to reduce activities outside the home by carrying out activities required by #dirumahaja. Outside the home activities carried out for urgent purposes such as buying food and of course with self-protection equipment. This effort can indirectly protect oneself, family, and others from the spread of Covid-19. Let’s follow the Government’s recommendations to reduce activities outside the home with #dirumahaja and do physical distancing to help break the Covid-19 distribution chain and make the country quickly improve.

If in the past the fighters of the Indonesian people fought with weapons to fight the invaders, then efforts that could be made to fight against Covid-19 now were with #dirumahaja and still maintaining health and cleanliness.
