Discipline of the Correct Strategy for Facing the Third Wave of Covid-19

By: Agung Kurniawan

Prokes discipline is a surefire strategy to deal with the third wave of Covid-19. With these protective measures, it is hoped that this can reduce the spike in Covid-19 due to relaxation of activities.

The pandemic is not 100% over yet and people are starting to get tired, because they have been struggling with corona for almost 2 years. Indeed, apart from having to maintain physical health, mental health also needs to be stabilized, because reducing mobility over time creates stress. But we must know ourselves so as not to leave the house carelessly and end up contracting the Covid-19 virus.

During the pandemic there have been 2 corona attacks, and according to epidemiologists, the third attack will appear in early 2022. They predict it because currently corona cases are going down, and usually when the curve is sloping it can go up again. In addition, referring to the case of the second wave of corona attacks last year, there was always a spike in Covid patients after the holidays, and at the end of the year there were many red dates and school holidays.

Deputy Chairperson of the MPR RI Lestari Moerdijat stated that all elements of the nation must be disciplined in carrying out various policies to deal with the corona, including the 10M program. If only one party is not disciplined, it will disrupt control efforts. All parties, starting from the community, implementers, and stakeholders must implement the corona control policy.

Unity in running the 10M process must be done by everyone. For example, when a devout official wears a mask, his subordinates, as well as civilians, will follow suit. The reason is because as an official he became a public figure so that his movements were highlighted and imitated by his citizens. So don’t let the official set the wrong example by lazily wearing a mask.

In addition, civilians are also required to comply with the 10M process. When there are even anti-masks and even anti-vaccines, it will be troublesome for others, especially the health workers. People who are naughty can get corona and pass it on to family and friends, then the case of covid rises again. As a result, the health workers work extra hard and they are exhausted because they have to take long shifts (12 hours a day).

When someone is naughty in violating the process, it can create a negative domino effect like that, and finally the third wave of corona attacks actually occurs. It’s a quiet time right now, because the number of Covid patients is only 600 per day. But don’t relax first and then be lazy to wear a mask, because if many are negligent, then the corona attack will really happen.

Indeed, the prediction of the third wave of corona attacks is only an estimate, but it is a warning. So don’t be indifferent and end up ignoring the 10M process. Don’t forget that epidemiologists are experts in their fields, so they make statements based on theory.

To prevent the third wave of corona attacks, it is necessary to obey the 10M procedure. Have you bought a mask today? Masks are mandatory items during monthly shopping, and because you have to wear double masks, you must have disposable masks and cloth masks at home. Even if you only go to the shop in front of the alley, you must still wear a mask.

In addition, always wash your hands and keep your body clean, and immediately wash your hair when you get home, and change clothes. Also keep the environment clean and always have a healthy lifestyle, for the sake of high immunity. If everyone is disciplined in the process, the third wave of corona attacks will not happen.

Obeying the 10M process is not too difficult, because since the beginning of 2020 we have been used to wearing masks, right? It is also easy to comply with other prokes points, the important thing is the intention and not to underestimate. The third wave of corona attacks can be avoided if everyone obeys the procedures.
