CIDISS. A number of President Jokowi’s policies have often been criticized. Especially in the period leading up to the 2019 presidential election. Various policies issued before the 2019 presidential election are often called politically by the opposing camp. One of President Jokowi’s policies is considered politically ahead of the 2019 presidential election, which is related to Suramadu toll road tariffs. A number of parties considered the policy to be political because the toll tariff exemption plan had been initiated since the Governor Soekarwo era since two years ago, but was only inaugurated ahead of the 2019 Presidential Election.
In addition to the policy, there are other policies that are also considered political, namely the Government Regulation relating to the awarding of Rp 200 million for corruption reporters. In this policy, President Jokowi signed Government Regulation Number 43 of 2018 concerning the Procedures for Implementing Community Participation and Awarding in Prevention and Eradication of Corruption on September 17, 2018. This rule states that the government will reward people who report maximum corruption cases IDR 200 million. Although many received positive responses, this policy also received a number of negative responses because it was assessed as part of the campaign.
Meanwhile, policies related to village funds were criticized as a campaign from President Jokowi because this policy was carried out in close proximity to the momentum of the 2019 Presidential Election.
In Indonesia everything is always associated with politics. Even if we put aside the time of the presidential election, in fact all of these policies are carried out so that Indonesia can become better. Apart from all these things, it is hoped that all Indonesian people will not be easily provoked by negative issues. In addition to the issue, it cannot be ascertained the truth, the provocative issue easily divides the nation ahead of the 2019 Presidential Election.
