Event P20 Momentum Lifts Indonesia’s Success in the Pandemic Period to Improve the Tourism Sector

DPR RI will hold the 8th G20 Parliamentary Speakers’ Summit (P20) next week, from Wednesday to Friday (5-7/10/2022) in Jakarta. According to the Chairperson of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, the event will have a positive impact on the Indonesian tourism sector.

“The DPR RI is optimistic that the implementation of the P20 will have a positive impact on tourist visits in a number of tourism destinations in Indonesia,” said Puan, Friday (30/9/2022).

He also believes that the P20 activity is an opportunity for the delegates of the P20 and G20 summits to be able to visit various tourist destinations in Indonesia.

“I’m sure the delegates and guests of the P20 and G20 summits don’t want to miss the moment to visit our various tourist destinations when they come to Indonesia,” he said.

Puan also reminded that the P20 event is a moment that must be used for the economic recovery of the Indonesian nation after the Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, the DPR asks for the people’s support to make the P20 and G20 Summits a success. Considering the P20 series is a series of events that have been carried out some time ago.

“The moment of implementing the P20 and the G20 Summit must be utilized as well as possible for economic recovery from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. , ” he continued.

The chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives has also hinted at the delegations of the P20 and G20 Summits to visit several tourist destinations throughout Indonesia, not only in Bali and Jakarta as the venue for the G20 Summit.

“We want state guests who come to Indonesia to later be able to visit other tourist destinations such as Labuan Bajo, Raja Ampat, Lake Toba, Lombok, and others,” said Puan.

“Hopefully the presence of envoys from countries that are members of the G20 can be a driving force for our tourism world,” he concluded.
