Indonesian society is still haunted by the Covid-19 pandemic which is still ongoing today. Meanwhile, the government continues to make efforts to prevent solutions for the people in order to reduce the spread of Covid-19. Starting from the implementation of the 3M health protocol to the ban on going home on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr this year.

Handling Covid-19 is certainly not an easy matter. It takes good coordination between the community and the government to jointly eradicate this deadly virus. The mutual support between the community and the government must always be embedded in each person so that it is hoped that hoax information provocateurs will not appear which actually hinders the acceleration of handling the Covid-19 pandemic.

Reporting from Liputan6.com, on Friday (29/4/2021) Kominfo explained that there were 1,556 hoax issues about Covid-19 that were found on social media, of which 3,261 content spread on social media platforms. Kominfo also added that there were 113 contents related to the Covid-19 hoax issue that were brought to the legal realm.

Responding to this case, the perpetrators of making hoax issues must be taken seriously. Not only being reprimanded, but also given awareness by being taken in a more serious direction, in order to give a deterrent effect and a warning to other people.

The impact of provocateurs and hoax content spreaders is very dangerous if it is widely circulated in the community. Disinformation is a common enemy, because hoaxes can hinder the efforts of the Indonesian people who are struggling against Covid-19.

On the other hand, the public is expected to fully support the government’s program to eradicate this deadly virus and it is hoped that Indonesia will be normal as before. Working hand in hand between governments and communities in positive terms is something that must be emphasized at critical times like today.

The public believes in the government for handling Covid-19, the government also believes in the community that we can unite with each other to undergo positive things to reduce the number of virus cases in Indonesia. Because the Indonesian people are brilliant people, accurate evidence is needed to believe in the information that is spread.
