Bali – PB ESI during the leadership era of General Chair Budi Gunawan clearly gave full support to Indonesian Esports athletes. The support in the form of facilities, coaching and morale is clearly felt by the Indonesian Esports athletes. The sweet fruit finally got to the Indonesian Mobile Legend Bang Bang (MLBB) National Team after successfully continuing to score wins and winning tickets to the Grand Final at the IESF Bali 14th WEC 2022.
In the world esports championship titled IESF Bali 14th World Esports Championships 2022 the National Team (Timnas) Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Indonesia was finally able to get a place in the grand final match. The ticket to be able to advance to the final match was obtained by the Indonesian National Team after successfully defeating the Cambodian Team in the upper bracket final, Tuesday (6/12/2022).
It can be said that the game played by the Indonesian national team was very good, because they were able to score a 2-1 win.
In the first round, the Indonesian national team had difficulty with the very aggressive game presented by the Cambodian team.
This was because the Cambodian team immediately managed to get first blood in the first round. Of course, this will be a challenge for the Indonesian National Team to be able to come up with a strategy to be able to lead the match.
With a good strategy, the Indonesian National Team’s game was balanced with very good defensive techniques, so that in the early game they took the lead.
However, when the mid-game started, it turned out that the Cambodian team had gained a lot of important momentum to change the flow of the game so that they dominated.
Finally, in the first half the Cambodian team led with a score of 0-1.
As if unwilling to take points and momentum from the Cambodian team, the Indonesian national team then changed its strategy to start the game in the second half much more aggressively.
As a result, the Cambodian team, which at first led, finally had to swallow the bitter pill of defeat by the Indonesian National Team with a final score of 2-1.
One of the Indonesian MLBB National Team players, Jabran “Branz” Bagus said they were very happy with the result of the victory. They managed to come back even though they were left behind 0-1 in the first round by the Cambodian team.
Even so, of course, his party did not immediately feel satisfied and continued to strive to be able to contribute gold to the country.
“Of course we are happy with the result of the victory over Cambodia. However, we cannot be complacent. We will try our best to get gold,” said Jabran.
Meanwhile, the Coach of the MLBB Indonesia National Team, Aji Wicaksono, said that the victory that was achieved by his team could not be separated from the contributions of fans and prayers from all Indonesian people.
He also emphasized that his team is still determined, whoever will be their opponent in the grand final, so they can show their best abilities with the target of getting gold.
“This victory is thanks to the prayers of all Indonesian citizens who have provided support to the Indonesian National Team. Whoever the opponent is in the Grand Final, we are determined to show our best abilities so that the gold target can be achieved,” said Aji.
This truly extraordinary achievement cannot be separated from the role of the Indonesian Esports General Manager (PB ESI), especially since the leadership era of Gen. Pol (Purn) Budi Gunawan.
He is truly determined to be able to continue advancing the Indonesian esports ecosystem and also PB ESI.
“In the next one to five years, PB ESI is expected to become an organization to be truly proud of. I hope that PB ESI can also become the best sports organization compared to other sports,” said PB ESI general chairman Budi Gunawan.
Athletes, coaches and officials feel happy and proud because PB ESI under the leadership of General Chairperson Budi Gunawan fully supports them so they can excel and make the nation proud in esports.
Of course this is a good sign where there is cohesiveness and solidity of all parties to advance the Indonesian esports ecosystem so that Indonesia can meet the target of overall champion in the World Esports Championship which will be held in Nusa Dua Bali.
