The government continues to improve the quality of Papua’s Human Resources (HR). With the improvement of the quality of Papua’s human resources, it is hoped that the progress of Papua can be realized soon.
Indonesia is known as a country rich in natural resources. Even since ancient times this has been booming to foreign countries. Moreover, the wisdom of the land of Papua, the diversity of tribes, to its natural wealth.
However, as we know natural resources that are not supported by qualified human resources (human resources) will be swallowed up by time. This is because the available natural resources (SDA) require proper and comprehensive management.
There are many types of natural resources, which still require management with different classifications. For example, Papua is famous for its global mining products. Of course, it requires human resources who are experts in the field of mining, as well as environmental management. Even with the potential of other natural resources, it also requires human resources with appropriate skills.
Therefore, the government with various efforts and strategic steps is trying to boost the human resources of the Papuan people. One of them is the implementation of training programs for young Papuans, as well as West Papuans to become millennial farmers to international standard entrepreneurs.
In line with this, the support and positive response from Papuan Youth Leaders, namely Steve Mara. Where for him is not only able to boost the ability of the younger generation there. It can also have a very good impact, especially for economic recovery. Moreover, after being hit by a pandemic, it is also for now and for the future.
Steve Mara is a Papuan youth who is very interested in diplomacy. In fact, he also often attends several national and international conferences. It didn’t stop there, Steve was appointed as the chairperson of the World Trade Organization (WTO) committee. Or rather at the C-7 World Economy & Business Conference which was held in Uzbekistan.
According to Steve, the government’s efforts related to millennial and entrepreneur training must be appreciated, and maintained for the sake of improving the quality of human resources. In addition, this effort is in line with the momentum for the economic recovery process in Papua and West Papua.
Steve added that all policies released by the government for Papua are a manifestation of President Jokowi’s concern for the Papuan people. Including appointing a young Papuan Billy Mambrasar as the presidential staff. For him, this is a form of real concern.
Billy is suspected of having a variety of innovative ideas and ideas that can be distributed to the Papuan people. And the most important thing is that this is sustainable and there is assistance, for the sake of implementing the program properly and optimally. On the other hand, the success of this program is also independent of Billy’s role. Where this achievement is a whip for the people of Papua to be more advanced.
This achievement is further strengthened by the record of increasing economic growth in the earth of Cendrawasih. Precisely in the third quarter of 2021, even the highest in Indonesia. This was also confirmed by Bank Indonesia representatives of the Papua Province, namely Naek Tigor Sinaga. Which also revealed that the Papuan economy shot up to 14.54 percent. In fact, it is much higher than the achievement of national growth, which was only 3.51 percent.
Naek is very confident that with the cooperation of all parties, the next growth achievement will increase again. Naek added that this could be a momentum for economic recovery amid the Covid-19 outbreak. He also explained that this increase came from the mining sector, Peparnas and the last National Sports Week (PON).
If support for the sake of support has seen the moon, then it remains only to intensify optimal efforts. Moreover, all programs and facilities have been provided by the government. There is nothing wrong with trying and trying amidst the onslaught of various problems. Most importantly, the government does not give up so that millennial Papuan youth are also obliged to welcome it enthusiastically.
Why? In fact two great young men Steve Mata and Billy Mambrasar were able to prove it. It is not impossible that soon there will be new names that will follow with brilliant achievements. Where this will contribute a lot of progress in Papua to the archipelago. Especially for the economic growth there. So that the fulfillment of the welfare of the Papuan people will be achieved more easily.
Finally, we or the younger generation who else will continue the struggle of the State. A prosperous country certainly comes from a prosperous society both materially and financially. Therefore, let’s make the government’s efforts to make its training programs a success in Papua.
