Discipline and consistency of society in general and the performance of Ministries/Agencies and Local Governments in supervising the implementation of the anti-Covid-19 Prokes will be key factors in accelerating the handling of Covid-19 in Indonesia.
Almost all provinces in Java and Bali experienced improvements in the implementation of health protocols. However, there is still one province, namely Banten, which has experienced an increase in non-compliance.
The coverage of sub-districts/villages with low adherence to wearing masks was Banten at 31.76% as of July 24, 2021. For areas outside Java and Bali, kelurahan/villages with low adherence to wearing masks as of July 24, 2021 were West Kalimantan Province. (50%), West Sumatra (60%), and North Maluku (66.67%).
In the past week, the 3 provinces with the lowest coverage of health protocol compliance for wearing masks were North Maluku (66.67%), Central Sulawesi (60%), and Gorontalo (56.39%). The 3 provinces with the lowest coverage of health protocol compliance in social distancing are North Maluku (100%), Gorontalo (55.83%), and West Sumatra (50.51%).
The government appreciates the increasing public compliance in implementing health protocols, especially in Java and Bali. The government believes that this positive achievement has been realized because of the hard work and active role of the COVID-19 Task Force at the RT/RW/Kelurahan level in conducting socialization according to the prokes. The government invites the Task Force at the RT/RW/Kelurahan level together with Forkopimda, Religious Leaders and Community Leaders to continue to improve guidance for the community in complying with health protocols. With cohesiveness and mutual cooperation from all parties, the rate of transmission of COVID-19 can be suppressed and Indonesia will recover.
The government appreciates the increasing public compliance in implementing health protocols. This effort must continue to be improved by involving various elements of society in order to suppress the rate of transmission of COVID-19 in their respective regions.
However, increasing the consistency of the implementation of the anti-Covid-19 Prokes will accelerate the handling of Covid-19. The national economic recovery will move quickly and foreign confidence in Indonesia will recover, although previously there were many exodus of foreigners from Indonesia due to the slow progress of handling Covid-19.
The President may order the Ministry of Health and the National Economic Recovery-Covid Management Committee (KPC-PEN) to emphasize to the public not to be careless against the COVID-19 pandemic. Prevention efforts must be carried out continuously in order to accelerate Indonesia’s recovery.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Communications and Informatics and all PPID/Humas in K/L intensify creating conditions and creating opinions by emphasizing two crucial messages, namely a healthy society, will encourage positive economic growth and be more obedient to procedures, the sooner we leave PPKM Level 4.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Home Affairs and Forkopimda in all Provinces/Regencies/Cities to invite the community to continue to improve the achievement of prokes compliance which is already quite good.
