CIDISS – Indonesia cooperates with countries in the Asia Pacific to give more attention in the era of industrial revolution 4.0. Therefore, programs to help each other and complement strategic regional programs by bringing together economic prosperity.
Industry Minister Airlangga Hartarto, through his statement in Jakarta on Friday, said he believed that the transformation towards industry would enable us to use technology that could provide higher power and added value.
According to Airlangga, Regional Conference on Industrial Development to study policies, experience, technology, knowledge and best practices.
The activity initiated by the Ministry of Industry and the United Nation Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) took place on 8-9 November 2018. The conference was attended by representatives from 12 countries in the Asia Pacific region, including Bangladesh, Bhutan, Japan, Cambodia, North Korea , Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Timor Leste and Vietnam.
He explained, one of the programs was increasing capacity. For example, from others who participated in training in Indonesia, they saw the industry directly being the pilot project in Making Indonesia 4.0. So, we share Indonesian experiences and policies regarding the application of industry 4.0.
Airlangga explained, to transform into a competitive country in the era of industrial revolution 4.0, integration, technology, information and communication are needed. Efforts are made in a process that is more efficient and produces higher quality products. In addition, the industrial sector can also increase the creativity and competitiveness of the small and medium industry (IKM).
With this meeting, it is expected that the representatives of the Asia Pacific countries present in these spaces can be used in the industrial struggle 4.0. For example, collaboration between Indonesia and UNIDO to run a new vision and strategy about industry 4.0 in building economic growth.
