Jakarta (cidiss.co) – A team from polices anti-terrorist squad, Special Detachments 88 (Densus 88), has arrested a suspected terrorist, Hendra alias Abu Pase, believed to be a member of the Majalengka network.
“At 17.09 pm on Sunday, November 27, Hedra alias Abu Pase was arrested in the Jalan Ismaya Raya, Pondok Benda, Tangerang Selatan, Banten province. He is believed to be a member of the Rio Majalengka group,” Indonesia Police spokesman, Inspector General Boy Rafli Amar, said here on Monday.
Hendra, an Aceh resident, is known as someone who provided operational funds and knows how to make explosive devices.
The Densus 88 team also arrested terror suspect Saiful Bahri alias Abu Syifa in the village of Baros, Serang, Banten, the same day.
Just a day before, it arrested terror suspect Bahrain Agam in North Aceh.
“On Saturday, November 26, the Densus team arrested Bahrain Agam in the village of Blang Tarakan, in the sub-district of Sawang, North Aceh,” he disclosed.
The three were believed as having connections with terror suspect Rio Priatna Wibawa, who was arrested in the village of Girimulya, Banjaran sub-district, Majalengka, West Java, on November 23.
Based on initial investigation, Bahrain knew bomb making and had bought explosive materials and provided Rp7 million to carry out terror activities.
Saiful helped Rio build a laboratory at Rios house where bombs were made and also planned bombings at several vital locations.
“All of the suspects were still being intensively investigated,” he revealed.
The four are members of the JAD cell that has pledged allegiance to the ISIS, led by ISIS fighter from Indonesia, Bahrun Naim.
Rio is an expert in mixing chemical substances to make explosive devices.
The explosive devices made by Rio were ordered by a number of people from Bahruns other groups.
The explosive devices were to be used in suicide bombings in various locations, including the parliament building, the police headquarters, several embassies, television stations and houses of prayer this year-end.
