JK Threatens Malaysian Ship Courageous Sign Indonesian Airspace

Vice President of Indonesia, Jussuf Kalla (JK) said Indonesia government declared has not cracked down on Malaysia which repeatedly broke through the airspace of the Republic of Indonesia for the neighboring country not to touch the boundary waters of Indonesia.

Based on Juanda Declaration which was December 13, 1957, Indonesian territorial waters limit is 12 miles from the base line of each island coast through the outermost point.

JK admits Malaysia have often violated the border region of Indonesia. But he said the Indonesian government would continue to promote methods of diplomacy to resolve the issue. However, JK said the government has questioned the intent Malaysia came Ambalat
