Radical understanding is still a real threat that needs to be watched by the whole community. In addition to triggering acts of violence, radicalism is also believed to be able to trigger conflicts between communities and cause disharmony in the nation. Therefore, the handling of radical understanding is not only the duty of the Government but also all elements of the nation.
Various polemics related to radicalism are suspected to threaten national stability. Not only targeting one victim, as if they have a random pattern that has been integrated with the group, the perpetrators of this radicalism are attracting victims who are still not good enough to be persuaded, even children. What is important can be used as a robot as an extension of the hand.
If classified, radicalism in Indonesia has 3 types. Namely, beliefs, actions, and politics, including replacing the ideology of Pancas ila with the understanding of the caliphate. Anti-radicalism activist Haidar Alwi said that in Indonesia there are three types of radicalism. First, it is radicalism in faith. According to him, radicalism like that is a person who always considers others to be negative.
In addition, radicalism often assesses that a person will go to hell except his group. Then, the second type of radicalism is action. In this type, Haidar gave an example like Jamaat Ansharut Daulah (JAD ). According to his observations, JAD is a group that always justifies any means, including carrying out killings in the name of religion.
And the third is radicalism in political form. This group is the one who wants to replace the legitimate state ideology, Pancasila, into the ideology of the caliphate. Of the three types, the number of followers of the three is increasingly widespread in Indonesia. In fact, he boasted that Indonesia is currently in an emergency situation of radicalism.
On the same occasion, the intelligence expert named Soleman Ponto said the main problem in a series of terrorist acts was not radicalism, but the absence of strict control over explosives. According to him, if anyone thinks that radical can be resolved by dialogue, no matter how long. The problem, continued Soleman, is when someone who believes in radicalism already has explosives. He explained, as long as he did not have access to the bomb. Whatever the bomb is called. Starting from TN T, for firecrackers, it must be controlled.
However, the current situation, explosives are still widely circulated in the public or the control is fairly loose. According to him, the focus now is to go there because very few people speak of the importance of monitoring the distribution of explosives.
In fact, according to him, supervision regarding this matter must be carried out. Especially now that there are regulations governing edible ingredients . For control of explosives, he gave an example when he was still the Head of the Strategic Intelligence Agency (BAIS). At that time, he stated that for all explosives, in this case the ammunition of the TNI apparatus, could be controlled by him.
The controls carried out are fairly hard and strict, even the supervision starts from the location and storage standards, who is the member who holds it, to how much ammunition is held, and other data that has its own records. It is undeniable that the distribution of explosives nowadays is very widespread. So that many parties are free to access this material.
Meanwhile, a number of experts say radicalism is now also infiltrating almost all lines of society. Want officials, ASN, practitioners, academics, security forces , teachers to students vulnerable to this radicalism affected. Radical understanding comes from learning materials, extracurricular activities to religious events. However, it is quite possible to ward it off. Because there is always a way to tackle this problem. Sal ah cultivate an attitude of tolerance of which is derived from the self. No need to accuse people, just introspect and do as positively as possible.
Both instill in their conscience and behavior that reflects Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution, Unity in Diversity to the Republic of Indonesia. Even optimism to fight radicalism must be strengthened. In addition, awareness of the environment needs to be improved. If there are suspicious parties, immediately report to the authorities. Education from within the family is also considered quite fundamental. Families that are responsive to the development of other members will also influence thought patterns, emotions and behavior.
If all of this has been done properly and appropriately, then there is no chance for radicalism to uphold conscience. The reason is, most people who are easily recruited have emotional levels and thought patterns that are still unstable. Proverbial, still looking for identity. Like an existence that wants to be acknowledged, the overflowing hero’s soul seems to be a way for them to be perceived and respected. So, from that let’s fight with certainty radicalism which undermines conscience!
