Jokowi or Prabowo?

CIDISS. Ahead of the 2019 presidential election, there were many discussions about the campaign and other matters related to the political world. In fact, the topic of this discussion does not only occur to those who are directly involved in the general election, but also those who only enjoy it as “entertainment and talk”. This is no exception in a small community, the family.

In this modern era, almost all families have social media groups, like Whatsapp and Facebook. One of the interesting issues discussed in the group is who should be supported in the upcoming presidential election, of course by considering the advantages and disadvantages of each candidate. In discussing support, of course the choice is not always determined objectively. Each choice is always based on subjectivity, such as the area of origin, religion, ethnicity, and so on.

However, what always goes wrong here is the emergence of divisions among groups in discussing the issue of presidential elections. Because of differences in support, one family member can hate and not even communicate with the family member. If we see this, isn’t this a stupid thing? It can be said to be stupid because the disputes that occur between supporters will not have a positive impact, let alone increase support for the candidates they support.

Therefore, from now on let’s change our perspective and give our support to the right candidates without having to fight. Everyone has the right to vote and all citizens must respect this and not respond with negative actions. Whoever the president is elected later, all Indonesian citizens are obliged to support it so that the government that is run later can build Indonesia. If the winning candidate is not your support, then believe that the candidate has gone through a number of competency tests and is considered by a number of parties. So, all current candidates are of course the best candidates who are eligible to become President if they are elected later.
