KAMI Didn’t Get Community Support

A handful of people who have always criticized the Government declared the Coalition for Action to Save Indonesia (KAMI). The community also did not support the birth of the organization because it only worsened the political and energy situation of the nation, which is currently focused on dealing with Covid-19.

The Coalition for Action to Save Indonesia (KAMI) considers that Indonesia will collapse if there are no rescue actions. But is it true that they want to save Indonesia? or because they want to garner support because they are already offended by the results of the 2019 presidential election.

Muhammad Kapitra Ampera, as an Indonesian legal expert, considers that the formation of KAMI is full of political interests. The demands and also the actions he will carry out are also considered unclear. This is because currently Indonesia is quite good governance. In fact, he saw an economic recovery that collapsed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Kapitra considered that KAMI had other goals and purposes related to its rescue mission. Their declaration to save Indonesia remains questionable, whether they want to save the nation from adversity or because of their desire to gain a political stage.

As a private opposition, it is natural that they continue to try to undermine the government in various ways and with various organizational platforms. If indeed the group is full of political content, then the declaration is certainly not honorable.

The Executive Director of the Political Institute, Risat Sanger, stated that the government needs to get strong support from all elements of society in overcoming covid-19. But unfortunately there are certain groups that actually make the government’s efforts seem to be being blocked. Even though all governments in various countries are working hard to reduce the bad effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Ari Junaedi, as a political communication observer, actually questioned what Rocky Gerung Cs was doing. He questioned what the urgent urgency is for the implementation of the US declaration with the condition of the nation which is fighting the Covid-19 pandemic. He considered that it would be better if the energy of the KAMI declarators was used for real humanitarian action.

This lecturer at the University of Indonesia (UI) is worried that KAMI will only end up fulfilling the aspirations of a group of people who are disappointed in Joko Widodo’s government.

Of course, the government needs criticism as input for making strategic policies. However, the declaration made by KAMI in the midst of this crisis is just something that is redundant in the political realm, especially since there is no political party power in the declaration.

Ari said the declaration was like an ant bite which had no impact on the Jokowi regime.

On a different occasion, Political Communication Expert Iman Sholeh, M.Si said that the actions carried out by KAMI were more inclined towards hatred and anti-government movements that were deliberately raised during the Covid-19 pandemic. This action was carried out in a structured, systematic and massive manner with the aim of disrupting the government’s performance in efforts to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic and efforts to recover the economy.

Iman also advised the government to take a stand on this action. Especially if the action only provokes the masses and provides criticism without a solution. Because it only disturbs the government’s performance.

Meanwhile, for the general public, he believes that the majority of people already understand and understand the purpose of the actions taken by KAMI.

They simply want to appear on the political stage covered with thoughts that seem critical but motivated by their hatred of the government.

Iman also suggested that the government can provide positive insights into what the government has done, both in terms of development progress and handling the Covid-19 pandemic, so that the public understands what the government has done to date.

On a different occasion, Chairman of the Indonesian People’s Struggle for the Archipelago (Pernusa) KP Norman Hadinegoro suspected that the presence of KAMI was also aimed at saving the assets of the family of the 2nd President of the Republic of Indonesia, Suharto or the Cendana Family.

He said that the gathering of followers of the new order within the KAMI was because they were disturbed by the government under President Joko Widodo.

He also touched on the intention of the sandalwood family, which often builds political parties to create anti-Jokowi movements. Nevertheless, he views that the party that was built has never won the sympathy of the people.

Even though KAMI are promoted by national figures to academics who often appear on the screen, Jokowi’s government is too strong, so there is no need to be afraid of the presence of the coalition. Moreover, not many people support KAMI.
