After celebrating Eid al-Fitr, actually the biggest challenge is how to live life after the holy month of Ramadan. The reason is that in that month, Muslims have been taught how to control their passions, including anger, so they can control themselves as well as possible. But don’t let all the goodness that has been lived ends just like that after passing the month of Ramadan.
Muslims in particular, must also be able to become pioneers in how to show citizenship by continuing to maintain the ties of brotherhood even to those with different beliefs. Respect for each other, maintaining behavior and also including good speech should not just disappear after passing through the month of Ramadan.
The month of Ramadan teaches many things, especially about tolerance, how Muslims are able to feel the hardships and hardships of the underprivileged, besides that there is also a teaching to share with each other through Zakat Fitrah which indicates that there must be social sensitivity.

The month of Ramadan that has been passed together must be able to be interpreted as a month full of grace and love. Human values are very much contained in the teachings of the Holy Month. Not just interpersonal relationships, but personally every Muslim must be able to avoid all unjust acts, stay away from slander, hoaxes, let alone the spread of hate speech because they do not implement Islamic values and moreover, are able to divide the unity and integrity of the Unitary Republic of Indonesia.
Meanwhile, the former chairman of the Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) Executive Board, KH Said Aqil Siroj advised all people not to spread slander and hate speech too easily, especially through social media because it turns out that all of the practices that have been done will be in vain. . In line with this, the Chairman of the People’s Consultative Assembly, Bambang Soesatyo, also appealed to the public to immediately stop the conflict between political camps because it would only cause chaos.
After apologizing on Lebaran Day, of course, the momentum to establish good relations with each other must continue to be pursued between communities that may have been at odds due to political sentiments. All parties must also play an active role to stop all hate speech, stop throwing accusations at each other and throwing provocative things.
Director of Postgraduate IAIN Metro Lampung, Dr. Mukhtar Hadi stated that the month of Ramadan is a month of education so that all Muslims are able to improve their deeds and worship, become more noble in character, have high discipline and honesty. According to him, the proof, especially from forging in the month of Ramadan, is what behavior after Ramadan is like. The whole spirit of goodness that has been strived for as much as possible during the Holy Month must continue to be carried out even though it has passed Lebaran Day.
Even though the holy month has passed, people are expected to continue to maintain the spirit of Ramadan. By continuing to apply the spirit of Ramadan in daily life, it is hoped that the Indonesian people will be able to avoid feelings of hostility/hatred between fellow children of the nation.
