Ahead of the democratic party, of course the TNI and Polri government apparatus need to be aware of any threats or disturbances that can affect the stability of national security ahead of the April 2019 election. Various abstract attacks have sprung up to damage people’s mental and psychological conditions, such as the spread of hoaxes and black campaigns by the media. fake. Whereas the true purpose of the election is to find leaders democratically, not necessarily to break the unity of the Indonesian people.
Political differences are often an excuse to disrupt the democratic party. Therefore, the community should not be provoked by slander, hoaxes, and various intimidation efforts aimed at certain candidate pairs. Of course it will be very detrimental, if only because of differences in political views, community harmony becomes tenuous, does not greet each other and stay away from each other. Surely it will be a big loss if we experience this. Because unity and harmony are the great capital of the Indonesian nation.
Indonesia should be a country that should be used as an example because the diversity of tribes, languages, cultures, and religions that are so many, can be combined with the unity language, namely Indonesian. Conduciveness and stability of national security must not be sacrificed in order to fulfill the political lust of certain groups.
The Coordinating Minister for Politics, Law and Human Rights (Menkopolhukam) Wiranto warned that all components of the nation maintain security and political stability ahead of the simultaneous 2019 election so that the country takes place safely and conducively. “Security and politics must always be stable so that the country is not chaotic,” Wiranto said. According to him, security is an absolute requirement to build and prosper the nation. By creating a safe atmosphere, all forms of threats must be neutralized.
He also said that the important instrument of a democratic country is politics. Not only security stability, but political stability is also important. Because both of them correlate with each other. President Jokowi also said that entering a political year, the ranks of the government must take a role to maintain security stability well and the Government is optimistic that a democratic party in 2019 can take place safely, peacefully and democratically.
Wiranto also said that in 2018 Indonesia had been able to hold 171 elections simultaneously and safely and peacefully. Of course with a long democratic experience, President Joko Widodo is optimistic that this democratic party in 2019 can take place safely, peacefully and democratically. The government together with the Bawaslu and the National Police have compiled an election vulnerability index in each region so that the Government can map which areas have a high threat level. This shows that the Government is ready to hold the 2019 Election event that upholds democracy, is safe and conducive.
Religion is also considered to have an important role in maintaining security stability ahead of the General Election. This is because religion is often used as a tool for political interests, both political legitimacy and political campaigns. Indeed religion does not become a reduction and political degradation, because in essence religion is higher than anything. Politics certainly must prioritize courtesy and not spread each other slander, but politics must be based on mutual respect and respect for differences. The community certainly must participate in maintaining security stability in democratic activities for all electoral processes. Because national stability is not only the duty of the TNI and Polri, it is the responsibility of all citizens.
The Ministry of Home Affairs Community Organizational Director, La Ode Ahmad, said that in the success of the 2019 Election, the public can participate by using their voting rights intelligently and wisely to improve the nation and state in the next 5 years. But to create a good election is not only limited to channeling suffrage. Maintaining security and order stability is also important for the creation of a good electoral atmosphere. The community has an important role in caring for diversity while maintaining unity and unity by mutual respect for differences in choice / political support for each individual or group, without linking it with identity, ethnicity, religion, race and inter-group (SARA).
The party of democracy for Indonesia should be able to reflect the real people’s party, where peace and happiness become a scene in all its processes. In realizing security stability ahead of the simultaneous elections in 2019, of course all stakeholders are asked to maintain national unity and unity. All support teams must be committed to carrying out peaceful elections and maintaining unity and unity. Each pair of candidates or legislative candidates must be able to uphold integrity in every word and deed. It must all be implemented in the field for the sake of the realization of a safe and peaceful election.
The former Chairperson of the Constitutional Court, Mahfud MD, also contributed to the strategy so that the upcoming elections could run cheerfully without causing prolonged conflict. He also said that in order to realize a safe and peaceful presidential election, it certainly can be done with the cooperation of all parties. Starting from national figures and figures. If a supported figure stirs up the spirit of unity, the people who support him will join together. He also gave an example in the 1999 elections which had claimed potential horizontal conflicts between supporters of former President BJ Habibie and Megawati Soekarnoputri.
But in the end it was not Megawati or Habibie who was elected president, but KH Abdurrahman Wahid (late Gus Dur) who was elected to sit on the highest throne as President of the Republic of Indonesia. However, supporters of the two camps maintain peace. In line with this, Megawati and BJ Habibie did not question the results. In essence, security stability can be maintained properly if stakeholders can reduce conflict and not launch provocation efforts.
