In 2019, Indonesia entered a political year because in that year a 2019 General Election was held. In the democratic party, there were 2 presidential candidates and presidential candidates who fought in a healthy manner in order to become leaders in the country of Indonesia. The two candidates were Joko Widodo – Maruf Amin as pair with number 1 and Prabowo Subianto – Sandiaga Uno as pairs with serial number 2.
After the voting was held on April 17, 2019, the political climate of the elections did not subside. On the contrary, the political climate is actually getting heated up because sympathizers from each candidate claim each other’s victory and reveal allegations of fraud committed by each other. With these conditions, not a few people are worried whether this political climate will continue to heat up and eventually trigger open conflict between sympathizers.
One of the hopes for the community where the issue of DKI Jakarta Regional Head Election is crowded with issues, will not be repeated in the 2019 Presidential Election. At present, the two presidential candidates have ‘fortified’ from the attack. SARA and identity politics by presenting ulama figures in their ranks.
To anticipate this, it is better for each sympathizer in particular, and for all Indonesian people in general, to let go of all the attributes of the general election and re-unite the heart to get a better Indonesia. Indonesia does have a lot of differences but it does not mean that it must be disputed. Whoever wins, Indonesia will also win. In addition, whatever fraud occurs, the government will address this matter wisely so that the community does not need to worry and entrust the matter to the government.
