The figure of a tribal chief must of course be a role model and role model for tribal members, so what if a tribal chief actually stumbles into the practice of racism and gets a summons from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
Lukas Enembe, the Governor of Papua who had played his money at the casino, apparently got the spotlight again when Lukas Enembe was appointed Chief of the Big Tribe.
Papua itself has various tribes and cannot immediately mention that Lukas Enembe is the Head of the Big Tribe.
The appointment of Lukas Enembe was regretted by Ondofolo Sosiri Sentani Boas Assa Enoch. According to him, the appointment of Lukas to be a tribal chief is the same thing as insulting the dignity of Papua. Boaz added that Luke could not be appointed as the head of the Great Tribe because one of the reasons was that there was no clear lineage of the tribal chief’s lineage.
Boas also regretted that Lukas Enembe did not cooperate with the KPK who wanted to carry out an investigation.
It is known, Lukas is a suspect in the alleged bribery and gratification of the Papua Province APBD. The first summons from the KPK was rejected by him. The KPK then rushed to make a second summons.
Ali Fikri as the Head of the KPK News Section said that his party hoped that Lukas Enembe would cooperate to fulfill the second summons later. Meanwhile, Enembe admitted that he was still undergoing treatment and was unable to carry out his usual activities.
Previously, Papuan youth leader Martinus Kasuay also supported the efforts of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to resolve the alleged corruption case carried out by Governor Lukas Enembe.
Martinus said it was only natural that anyone who was guilty should be given criminal sanctions, in accordance with the applicable legal process.
The secretary of the Barisan Merah Putih also stated that the corruption case that ensnared the Governor of Papua Lukas Enembe was a personal case that had nothing to do with politicization or criminalization. The case is purely because it is related to the law.
Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri said his party hoped that Lukas would cooperate to fulfill the second summons later. Meanwhile, Enembe admitted that he is still undergoing treatment and cannot carry out activities like healthy people in general.
The urge to arrest Lukas Enembe was also carried out by Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW) which considered that the legal process against Lukas Enembe carried out by the KPK was too protracted. ICW also asked the KPK to act quickly.
On the other hand, ICW also suggested to the KPK to coordinate with IDI (Indonesian Doctors Association) to check the health of the Governor of Papua. This is considered important in order to know whether Luke really needs treatment or not.
Pressure also came from MAKI (Indonesian Anti-Corruption Society) who asked the KPK to forcibly pick up Papuan Governor Lukas Enembe because he did not attend the examination summons twice on the grounds of illness. MAKI considers that the KPK must have the courage to pick up Lukas Enembe.
Meanwhile, Zaenur Rohman as Researcher on Anti-Corruption Studies (Pukat) Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) asked the KPK to be firm in handling cases related to Lukas Enembe, Zaenur requested that the KPK forcefully pick up Enembe if he did not fulfill the summons that had been addressed.
In addition, Zaenur also suggested that the KPK could use a social approach by cooperating with local figures. The KPK must explain to Enembe’s defenders that this is a purely legal process.
On a different occasion, Apbsalom Yarisetouw as Chairman of the Generation of Garuda Sakti Indonesia in Papua Province asked law enforcement officials to be firm against Lukas Enembe who has been named a suspect in the alleged bribery and gratification case. He said that if Luke was not cooperative, Lukas had to be forced to take him to account for his actions.
Lukas as a leader should have the courage to sacrifice for the community, not hide behind the people. The appointment of Lukas as the head of a large tribe does not seem to dampen public support for the KPK to be able to resolve the case that ensnared Lukas Enembe as well as possible.
In their daily life, Papuan people apply three types of rules, namely state or government rules, customary rules and church rules. The error that is alleged to the Governor of Papua at this time is an error according to the state, so it must be tried with state law represented by the KPK. So it would be inappropriate for Lukas Enembe to involve indigenous peoples to protect himself from being summoned by the KPK.
On a different occasion, Firli Bahuri as the chairman of the KPK has committed to communicating with Lukas, including Luke’s lawyer. Firli said that the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) would not make any coercive efforts against Lukas Enembe because after all, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) still respects human rights. He also said that this problem would be resolved if Lukas Enembe was willing to comply with the KPK’s summons.
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has named Papuan Governor Lukas Enembe as a suspect in the alleged bribery case, of course it would not be appropriate for him to be appointed as a tribal chief in Papua, after all, there are still many more competent figures than figures who have actually failed to comply with the KPK’s summons.
