Palangka Raya Capped by Smog

Smog: Kahayan Bridge in Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan, has capped by smog in more than a week, cause of fire forest and land.

Choirul fuadi, Central Kalimantan, CIDISS – The capital city of central Kalimantan, Palangka Raya has been capped by smog. Moreover, smog has entered in people’s house.

Smog has capped not only in palangka Raya, but also in some districts of central Kalimantan, such as Pangkalan Bun, capital of Kotawaringin Barat regency.

The air quality of some districts in Central Kalimantan need serious anticipates by people to lees doing activity outside house. The smog has potency to cause acute respiratory infections (ISPA).

People’s Palangka raya complain to the government because very less information about smog.

They are very worry that smog block their vision in driving, both motor cycle and car.

The smog can be block the rider vision then cause accident or asphyxia, such as acute respiratory infections (ISPA).

The health board of Central Kalimantan has reported that people who suffer acute respiratory infections (ISPA) since January till august 2015 is 83.595 people.

Based on data Health board of Central Kalimantan, in January, ISPA’s sufferer is 16.225 people, February is 13.895 people, March is 15.293 people, April is 12.528 people, May is 9.919 people, June is 12.776 people and August 2015 is still on observation.

Because of the smog, flight schedule in some airports in Central Kalimantan is confusion. It was because the vision is very short, then many planes late for landing.
