The young generation has long been the target of radical groups. Radical propaganda often makes young people victims. Young people who are still in the process of searching for identity, are often used by radical groups to promote radicalism. This can be seen from the number of young people, who began to be exposed to radicalism. Even not a few young people who become perpetrators of terrorism. Based on the survey, the age of young people who are victims of radicalism and terrorism ranges from 16-30 years.
The facts above are happening in a country that is predominantly Muslim. The facts above also occur in countries that are said to be very tolerant. If we don’t actively take action to prevent it, hopes that Indonesia will become a khilafah state as the radical groups want it to happen. But of course we don’t want this rich country to turn into a khilafah state like what happened in Syria and Iraq. We also do not want every day there is a murder in public, just because of differences of opinion and belief.
Efforts to influence the younger generation are increasingly massive. The spread of the seeds of radicalism, begins with the expression of hatred which is the seed of intolerance. If intolerance continues to strengthen, then radicalism and terrorism will easily occur. This pattern turned out to be prepared very systematically. In early 2016, an Islamic reading book for early childhood education was found in Depok, West Java, containing the teachings of jihad. The books were printed from Solo, and deliberately distributed to educational institutions. It could be, until now the spread of this radical book is still happening.
Not only that, the spread of radical ideas also began to spread to the state civil apparatus. This is very much feared by the government, considering that the state civil apparatus is a public servant who should be neutral and clear of matters related to radicalism. Hopefully the spread of radical ideas can be prevented so that Indonesia can become even better.
