Rejecting the Forbidden Radical Organization Movement

By : Sujarwo )*

There have been several community organizations (Ormas) which were dissolved by the government because they were proven to be involved in radicalism. However, the public should be wary of their revival because they are indicated to continue to spread their influence.

There are a lot of mass organizations in Indonesia, some with social, social, economic, to brotherly spirit. It’s okay to create mass organizations as long as they have official permission. However, if there are mass organizations that are disbanded by the government and their permits are not renewed, it is because they have had a fatal mistake. So there is no discrimination in licensing an Ormas.

The mass organizations that were dissolved by the government and whose licenses were not renewed were suspected of having radical ideas. They also cannot prove their loyalty to the country and often blaspheme against the government. In fact, mass organizations are always shouting to form a caliphate state as they wish, even though they do not understand at all how to manage a country and its laws.

The public was not surprised when several CSOs were disbanded by the government because they had been troubling and often caused trouble. Among them are sweeping in the month of Ramadan without permission and rioting in public places, even though it is a holy month. However, they are polluted by their actions. The community even felt relieved when the Ormas was disbanded, so that it would no longer disturb peace in Indonesia.

However, the public must also be aware of the revival of the banned mass organizations. Even though they have been disbanded and have not received permission from the ministry, they may still operate in a guerrilla manner. Especially now that coordination can be easily done in cyberspace.

The rise of banned mass organizations is very dangerous because they can campaign for radicalism in society. Although many understand that radicalism is dangerous, there are some who are too innocent. They are easy targets for radical groups, so they can be dragged and brainwashed into becoming new cadres.

Do not let radicalism spread throughout Indonesia because it can undermine the country from within. If radicalism thrives, then Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution will fall, because they are considered not in line with the caliphate government. This is dangerous because Indonesia is a pluralistic nation and is only compatible with Pancasila. While the caliphate is more suitable in other countries, but not in this country.

The forbidden radical mass organization movement is suspected to be able to rise again when there is a moment of reunion. At that time gathered people dressed in white who reasoned to regroup in commemoration of the moment. Even though that moment has long passed and there is no need to remember it anymore, because the community also doesn’t approve of it.

How can it be agreed if the reunion which is followed by the radical mass organization movement only contains insults and attacks against the government? Radical organizations are known for their critique, but they are zero when asked what the solution is. In their eyes the government is always wrong, even though they are the ones who have blinded their eyes.

What’s worse, radical mass organizations always accuse the current government of being affiliated with the communists. In fact, since the first, communism has been eradicated by Pak Harto and will not rise again, because it is closely guarded by officers and officers who are on standby. There can be no communism in Indonesia, let alone within the government, and radical mass organizations can only slander.

The public is asked to be more wary of radical mass organizations which are clearly forbidden, but are desperate to show their identity in the public eye. They deliberately took the reunion moment because it was being highlighted by the media, and touted the caliphate state, even though it was only a dream in broad daylight.
