“If the problem of temptation (the sense of nationalism-red) must be exist, we can not deny it, but we have to praise with the development of the border region conducted by government today. We have to more proud with Indonesia nowaday. Our life and dead is in Indonesia, so we have to love Indonesia. For us NKRI is the fixed price, “said Suyono, one of the participants talkshow.

Another talkshow participant, Kasianus Ujang, expects the government to continue embeding national insight to the Indonesian people at the border. Therefore, the gap of social and economic conditions between the two countries are vulnerable to reduce the love of citizens to the homeland and nation.

” At least, once a year there was a P4 program, but now is never. (Condition-ed) now, with limited education, limited time, some people can’t thinking of the country. This is certainly not good for us who are living in the border, who every day see the neighboring countries, “said Kasianus.

The talkshow that presented the border youth organization as a resource person also explored the role and activities of the youths in the border to increase the spirit of love of the homeland in the midst of Indonesia’s development from the periphery. Chairman of Komunitas Sahabat Alam Sekayam, Ishartono delivered his community visited a number of elementary schools in the border to share knowledge about Indonesia.

“We have a program of Salam Berbagi Indonesia, where we share the means of education as well as teach the national insight to elementary students in the border countryside,” said Ishartono.

While Yamin Mastahar, Chairman of Sekayam Motor Community asserted, a form of his community’s love for the Unitary Republic of Indonesia revealed by initiating a number of activities nuanced nationalism. “With simple equipment we are raising flags on every national day,” he said.
