Support for the implementation of the Omnibus Law scheme is increasingly being heard. Because, many parties are aware of the importance of this breakthrough to improve the national economy.
The community is now waiting for the implementation of the Omnibus Law scheme. The scheme to simplify the regulation is believed to be the way to resolve permits and overlapping regulations in Indonesia. Not only is it able to summarize and revise the complexity of the rules, but it is also able to be a solution to improve the national economy.
At least it has been identified (tentatively) more or less 79 Laws and 1,229 articles which will be affected by the Employment Copyright Omnibus Law. This figure is suspected to be still possible to change, adjusting the results of discussions with the Ministry and also related agencies.
For this reason, the community expressed their voice by supporting the Omnibus Law scheme. Through the hashtag #kitasambutomnibuslaw on Sunday, January 13, 2020, it became one of the trending topics.
Many people are increasingly aware of the benefits of implementing the Omnibus Law Bill. One of them is, able to eliminate overlaps between laws and regulations. In addition, this bill is considered to be the efficiency of the process of amending or revoking laws and regulations. Not only in one sector, Omnibus Law can overshadow all aspects of laws or regulations in the archipelago. For example, education, economics, investment, and marine.
Previously, a member of the House of Representatives Commission I from the PKS Sukamta faction highlighted the issue of overlapping Indonesian maritime security rules. He stated, there were 24 Laws plus 2 Government Regulations (PP) governing maritime security.

Meanwhile, according to Bappenas Deputy for Politics, Law, Defense and Security, Slamet Soedarsono this matter is urged to be created immediately because it is considered to have a major impact on society.
Jimly, a former Presidential Advisory Council, said there are two things the government must do to accelerate the formation of the omnibus law. The first is to immediately evaluate the law, presidential regulations, and also related government regulations.
Second, creating a system or breakthrough that is able to summarize all laws and regulations in one application container. More precisely, there must be an electronic audit system of all the products of the law.
In line with this, the Secretary General of the NasDem Party, Johnny G Plate fully supports the Omnibus Law as a priority that must enter the national legislation program. He considered the Omnibus law could become a bill at the initiative of the DPR or the government.
On the other hand, Gerindra Party Politician, Sandiaga Uno also supports the realization of Omnibus Law. According to him, job creation and empowerment of MSMEs have so far been carried out in the OK OCE program.
The government’s step in implementing the Omnibus Law scheme seems more wide open. Not only can it unravel the complexity of the existing regulations, but also has a number of positive impacts. Especially for the development of the national economy. The Omnibus Law will specifically renovate every regulation in the economic sector which includes; taxes, development, investment and job availability.
Law expert from the University of Indonesia, Indriyanto Seno Adji, is also concerned with the discussion, he said the Omnibus Law was not implemented because so far Indonesia has used the civil law system. But it can still be changed through government discretion and the impact will be good, that is, it can stop overlapping existing rules. He also said that government discretion in this matter does not require changes to the law.
In a limited meeting chaired by President Jokowi in early January 2020, Joko Widodo assigned BIN to examine the impact of the discussion of the Omnibus Law Bill in the Indonesian Parliament.
According to many parties, the president wants to get input and strategic studies from BIN related to the omnibus law, which previously had conducted a number of escort investigations and intelligence gathering to succeed the Omnibus Law legislation process in the DPR-RI. Namely, by minimizing threats, disturbances, and obstacles during the discussion, so that all of them can be resolved.
Based on the facts above, many parties have realized the importance of applying the Omnibus Law scheme as the Law of the world broom which can act as a legal umbrella to improve overlapping licenses, regulations and bureaucracy in Indonesia. And most important is the realization of the development of the national economy and the welfare of all Indonesian people.
