The Citizen of Wuhan is Our Brother

Evacuation of Indonesian Citizens (WNI) from Wuhan, Hubei, China, returning to Indonesia deserves appreciation from all Indonesians. Not only because it is a humanitarian mission but because it proves the great sense of brotherhood among the children of the nation wherever located. Therefore, their observations at Natuna need to be supported and not rejected.
Indonesia is a country based on Pancasila, so the values contained in Pancasila should be reflected in words, attitudes and behavior, including the spirit of brotherhood. Every citizen has the same rights and obligations guaranteed by the state. The sense of brotherhood is also a form of Indonesian unity that is inseparable.
President Joko Widodo (Joko Widodo) expressed his gratitude to his staff for the effort to evacuate Indonesian citizens from Wuhan and all Natuna residents because their area was willing to be a quarantine location for Indonesian citizens who were evacuated from Wuhan, China, because of the spread of the corona virus in the region. Jokowi said that Indonesian citizens from China were our own brothers.
The selection of Natuna as a quarantine point for Indonesian citizens from Wuhan China, had drawn rejection from the Natuna community because the area was used as a quarantine location for residents from the location of the corona virus spreading, thus raising fears of contracting the corona virus. However, in the end, Indonesians from Wuhan were accepted to carry out the observation period in Natuna.
According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs (Foreign Minister) Retno Marsudi, overall there were 285 Indonesian citizens who had just returned from Wuhan, observed in Natuna, Riau Islands. 243 of them were residents who had lived in Wuhan China, while the remaining 42 people were an advance team and a WNI pick-up team in Wuhan. They would be observed in Natuna for 14 days. To maximize the observation period, Minister of Health Terawan Agus Putranto with the team will open an office in Natuna. While the spokesperson from the Minister of Health will continue to submit updates on developments.
Minister of Health (Menkes), Terawan Agus Putranto revealed initially there were 245 Indonesian citizens who would be evacuated from Wuhan to Indonesia. However, four Indonesian citizens did not want to be evacuated and three did not pass the medical tests in China so that they were dispatched to 238 people.
The process of evacuating Indonesian citizens from Wuhan to Batam using the 330-300CEO Airbus aircraft owned by Batik Air on Saturday (01/02/2020). Batik Air Management also stated that the fleet used in the pick-up of the Indonesian citizen had undergone a sterilization process at Hang Nadim Airport, Batam, on Sunday (02/02/2020). Before departing, an inspection by the Chinese government provided certainty regarding the health of evacuated Indonesian citizens. While Indonesian citizens who do not pass the medical test will undergo treatment and treatment. After recovering, they will be evacuated to Indonesia. While Indonesian citizens who were evacuated from Wuhan, are undergoing quarantine at Raden Sadjad Natuna Air Base Hangar. The process will continue for the next 14 days.
Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Menko PMK) Muhadjir Effendy said, Natuna Island, Riau Islands, was chosen as an evacuation site with various preparations that had been made. Until now, he continued, based on monitoring conducted by the health authorities, there is not a single citizen who experienced symptoms of illness, but in the health protocol required stages before actually being declared clean, clean, so they can return to their respective families.
This is the right time to show the sense of brotherhood of the Indonesian people who are actually already inherent in the hearts of every Indonesian citizen. Not only in Natuna, but in other regions in Indonesia, let us show the genuine nature of Indonesian people who are friendly, not selfish, helping each other because we are a nation where Indonesians in Wuhan are also our brothers.
