The public is obliged to support the entire series of the G20 Presidency in Indonesia, both the implementation of a number of  side events to the implementation of the peak event of the G20 Summit in Bali. This support is for the sake of achieving complete smoothness and also the success of the implementation of the international event in the country.

In mid-November 2022, the summit of the G20 Summit will be held in Bali. Prior to the implementation of the G20 peak, several side events have been carried out, even in several places in Indonesia.

Related to the culmination of the G20 Summit, this is the end of the entire workflow of the G20 forum for meetings of all parties, from ministerial level meetings, working groups to engagement groups for a full year for the Indonesian Presidency.

The Ministry of Communication and Information stated that the G20 event in Bali will be divided into three different locations. The first location is at Apurva Kempinski, then the second location is at the Mangrove Conversation Forest or commonly known as the Ngurah Rai Forest Park, while the third location will be at the Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park (GWK).

Of course, the peak of the G20 event will also be directly attended by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo along with his ranks and ministers, where they will head to the location held at Apurva Kempinski. Then about 40 other heads of state also attended along with their ministers to delegates from each of the G20 participating countries.

For information, the G20 Presidency of Indonesia itself broadly carries the theme ‘Recover Together, Recover Stronger’, in which three major themes are discussed, namely the strengthening of global health architecture, digital transformation and sustainable energy transition.

All of these big themes are really trying to be encouraged by Indonesia as the Presidency so that the G20 member countries can really focus on real solutions and actions. The reason is that in order to achieve recovery in global conditions which are currently being threatened by many multidimensional crises, it is not enough if only one country is struggling, but it is very important that all countries can help each other.

Estimates of all members of the delegations of other countries who attended the G20 Summit were around 20,988 people this year when the G20 Presidency of Indonesia was held. This figure is obtained from as many as 157 meetings that have been held for various levels ranging from working groups, ministers to the presidential or state leadership levels.

In order to ensure the smooth implementation of the G20, the Bali Provincial Government issued Circular (SE) Number 35435 of 2022 regarding the Enforcement of Restrictions on Community Activities in the Implementation of the G20 Presidency. The Governor of Bali, Wayan Koster said that the summit of the G20 must be smooth, comfortable, safe, peaceful and successful.

There are several rules in the issuance of the SE, mainly regarding community activities starting from 12 to 17 November 2022. These rules especially apply to people in Kuta District, South Kuta District, Badung Regency to South Denpasar.

For all activities in the field of education, government offices to the private sector, traditional ceremonies and religious activities are all temporarily suspended, including students from various levels to universities doing online learning at home and workers doing work from home (WFH). except those in the field of health and hospitality because it will be needed to support the smooth implementation of the G20.

Not only that, but there will also be restrictions on some activities, especially on all routes to the location of the G20 Summit. These routes include; Hotel Apurva Kempinski, ITDC, Bali Mandara Toll Road, Garuda Wisnu Kencana to the mangrove seeding area of the Tahura Area.

To be able to ensure that all these regulations run as they should, Wayan Koster even specifically advised all local regents and mayors to carry out supervision in the field to ensure the enactment of the SE restrictions on community activities.

Furthermore, a joint prayer activity was also held which was attended by the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Menko Marves), Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan with the Governor of Bali, Wayan Koster. The joint prayer was led directly by Ida Shri Bhagawan Putra Natha Wangsa Pamayun and attended by 1200 Pamangku Pura Kahyangan Desa and Pura Kahyangan Jagat throughout Bali.

Similarly, the Regional Secretary for the Province of Bali, Dewa Made Indra, appealed to all Balinese people to jointly support the smooth implementation of the G20 Summit. He hopes that the entire community will participate in supporting the smooth and successful implementation of the G20 Summit.

Meanwhile, Denpasar Police Chief, Kobes Bambang Yugo Pamungkas stated that all Balinese people must have the same vision and mission, namely to support the success of the G20. The reason is that if the event can run smoothly, the impact will also help accelerate economic growth.

Through the implementation of the SE related to activity restrictions to joint prayers that have been held by the whole community, indeed the implementation of the peak of the G20 Summit must be supported by all parties without exception so that it can run successfully and smoothly because on the other hand it will also bring a good image of Indonesia’s name in the eyes of the world. .
