Jokowi was officially appointed to serve as President of the Republic of Indonesia in his second period together with KH Ma’ruf Amin. Several development programs have been launched as efforts to realize an advanced Indonesia. The program also needs public support, bearing in mind that the community will benefit from development policies.

In his tenure to 2045, the President revealed that the first priority to be pursued by the government is the development of Human Resources (HR). Because in the future global competition will increase, with this competitiveness of human resources will also increase.

Jokowi also stressed that Indonesia must abandon the old ways. Old pattern. Both in managing organizations, institutions and in managing government. Namely by changing what has not been effectively changed into effective.

The management is deemed necessary because according to Jokowi, we must aim at a country that is more productive, has high competitiveness and flexibility in dealing with all changes.

First, HR Development aims to build dynamic HR, mastering Science and Technology. The government plans to involve global talent and the industry to work together with the government in building competitive Indonesian human resources.

The starting point for the program began with the development of human resources by providing health insurance to pregnant women – since pregnancy – infant health, toddler health and the health of school children.

Jokowi also wants that high-talented Diaspora should be given support in order to be willing to contribute greatly to the acceleration of Indonesia’s development.

With this, the Diaspora who want to contribute in their own country do not need to worry, because the government will provide a forum for the nation’s best sons and daughters.

Second, infrastructure development is also included in the list of priorities, even though in the previous period it was already done. Infrastructure development that will be built by the government in the future is transportation infrastructure, tourism infrastructure and infrastructure that increase employment.

The infrastructure development aims to make the production areas with distribution areas have easy access, so as to accelerate the added value of the people’s economy.

This shows a hope, where the infrastructure sector is expected to be always able to develop small industrial zones, so that both of them are expected to develop each other for the betterment of Indonesia.

Not to forget the former Governor of DKI Jakarta stated that one of his concerns was to invite as wide an investment as possible so that it would have an impact on employment.

Third priority is to eliminate problematic regulations and complicate development. Jokowi is committed to cutting down laws that hamper job creation, as well as laws that are hampering the development of MSMEs.

The statement shows Jokowi’s firmness to realize Indonesia as an investment-friendly country. He also urged people not to be allergic to investment, because that is the way jobs will be available.

On this basis, he also threatened those who hampered investment. In particular he also threatened the complicated bureaucratic process.

The fourth priority is implementing bureaucratic reform on a large scale. Simplification of the bureaucracy will be done to create an investment climate and increase the number of jobs.

Echelonization will also be simplified. Jokowi will simplify the echelonization from 4 to 2 levels, replaced by functional positions that value expertise that values competence.

The former Surakarta Mayor also stressed, that in this second period, he would not hesitate to remove ministers to related officials if their performance was not satisfactory.

The threat of the President will remove ministers who are not in line with expectations. Presumably it’s not just an expression. But to provide a deterrent effect for those who do not work according to expectations do need to be done so that the target of each ministry can achieve the target.

The fifth priority is, by transforming the economic sector. Changing the pattern of dependence on natural resources to become the competitiveness of modern manufacturing and services that have high added value.

5 priority programs, it turns out getting support from the Japanese government. Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in a bilateral meeting with Jokowi on the sidelines of the ASEAN 35th Summit held at Bangkok’s Impact Exhibition and Convention Center.

He said, Japan wanted to cooperate in areas that were the top priority, especially in the field of infrastructure and human resource development.

Support from the community is certainly needed so that this program can run and synergize with many parties for a more developed and prosperous Indonesia.
