Government Centers and the Provincial Government of Papua continue to work together to preparing the Week Sports National Sports (PON) XX in Papua. As a form of support for the implementation of this national sports week various projects are being accelerated by the government so that the process can be completed immediately.
Although the grand national sports week event is still a few months away, the government is increasingly keen to complete a number of projects that will be used to support PON XX in Papua. The enthusiasm of the people themselves is also visible. They are also involved in making handicrafts and souvenirs to enliven this four-yearly event.
It did not take long, Papua which was still on the line of conflict continued to improve. Not denying the past will continue to be remembered. However, in fact Papua managed to accelerate. Various preparations to support the government to bring pride in PON XX continue to be optimized.
Previously, the construction of four sports arenas that would be utilized to support the implementation of the XX National Sports Week (PON) in Papua Province, continued to be accelerated. In fact, targeted, completed this June 2020.
According to the Minister of PUPR Basuki Hadimuljono stated, that the completion of the sports venue had been targeted on time to support the implementation of XX PON in Papua, which will start from 9 to 21 September 2019.
Basuki claims, the construction of facilities and infrastructure for the XX 2020 PON in Papua must be handled very carefully, starting from the design stage, the construction stage and the supervision stage. It was reported that the construction of the aquatic arena, which began in December 2018 to 3 November 2019, has achieved physical progress of up to 55.9%, this is considered faster than the original plan of only 48.5%.
Meanwhile, the completion target in July 2020 is expected to be fulfilled soon. Now the work of supporting buildings, completion of the installation of pool pipes, and the construction of VIP audience stands are under construction.
The plan, the Aquatic area will be equipped with swimming pool facilities in accordance with the standards of the Federation Internationale de Natation (FINA). FINA is a parent organization of international sports specialized in swimming.
The swimming venue, reportedly will also be equipped with a standard of field of play (FOP) lighting, there is also a match timer (master clock) on the 1st and 2nd floors, a scoreboard, to the sound system, the air system, including surveillance cameras (CCTV) , and the stands. Added by additional facilities such as; arrangement of parking areas, landscaping, supporting buildings adjusted to the boundaries of the area, and also the drainage system
In addition, for the construction of Istora Papua Bangkit, which began in November 2018, the progress has reached 51.1% or even faster than the initial plan of only 43.2%. This development will be targeted to be completed this June 2020. Istora Papua Bangkit is equipped with a regional plaza area, in which there is also a vehicle parking inside and outside the istora area.
Aquatic Arena and Istora are located in a Sports Village area of Harapan Village with an area of 32 hectares. In this complex also built a Main Papua Risen stadium which is equipped with a scoreboard, time system equipment, up to FIFA standard LED lights, with a power of 1,800 Lux.
As for the construction of the Cricket arena and the Hockey field both Indoor and Outdoor until 3 November 2019, the physical progress has reached 50.1% or faster than the initial plan of 35.2%.
At present, what is being actively worked on is asphalting and fabricating steel frames in the Outdoor Hockey field, stands and 2nd floor work on the Indoor Hockey field, as well as steel roof truss works, the field, to the road for the cricket arena.
Although this grand event is still long enough, however, the people of Papua apparently do not want to relax. 4 months toward the 100 percent target must be pursued optimality. It is undeniable that the high spirits of Papuans to work for the realization of a competing and proud Indonesian Nasiomal sports week is increasingly felt. This is evidenced by the fulfillment of targets that have more than half of the total percentage of achievements. In this case certainly Papuans need a thumbs up, work for the job is handled perfectly. Starting from the venue, access to the road to where the athletes will stay will also be prepared. In fact, the future hopes for Indonesia to be able to succeed in their own country. To score proud national athletes.
