The new national capital in East Kalimantan is a step for the government to transform a variety of modern concepts, such as the smart city that will be implemented in Penajam Paser Utara. The community also considers the relocation of the new capital city to be able to realize the hope for the progress of the nation.

On different occasions, the Director of Urban, Housing and Settlements of the Ministry of National Development Planning Tri Dewi Virgiyanti explained, Smart City in the new capital city will make things easier, controlled and open to the public.
Virgiyanti exemplifies. The existence of mass rapid transit (mrt) and buses in the new capital can be seen whether the vehicle has a problem, where the vehicle is located, so it can record the number of passengers who ride, this is certainly one of the applications of smart mobility that can be accessed by the public.
In addition, Virgiyanti also said that in the new capital there would be a number of CCTVs at various points if they were prone to crime. This is done so that handling crime cases can be more quickly resolved.
The new capital will also implement smart health, or health services with technology. The number of hospitals will be provided according to the number of residents recorded. Therefore, people do not need to look for hospitals that are far from their homes.
Later the community can contact the nearest hospital, so before the patient goes to the hospital, the hospital can prepare what is needed to provide assistance to the patient.
One of the government’s plans in realizing smart security, smart governance to the smart industry is to utilize 5G technology in the new capital.
According to Johny G. Plate, the transfer of the new capital will not only be physical, but also the transformation of Indonesia, including the economic field.

So that later artificial intelligence can play a good and useful role. 5G investment is quite expensive, so the ecosystem needs to be ready too.
In addition, the government also has a big dream to have unmanned public vehicles, autonomous vehicles and electric cars.
The use of autonomus vehicles in the new capital aims to make Indonesia’s transportation system more modern, cheaper, faster and free from traffic jams.

The pilot of the electricity transportation system without driver will be conducted on the toll road that connects Balikpapan City with the new capital region located in Samboja sub-district, North Penajam Paser District and Sepaku Semoi sub-district, Kutai Kertanegara Regency.
Therefore, the Omnibus Law Bill for the Transfer of the National Capital indeed deserves the priority of the DPR to be included in the National Legislation Program.
Omnibus law relocating the capital allows to eliminate overlapping regulations, so that investors and SMEs will not find it difficult to be able to try in the new State Capital region.
