The policy to worship at home turned out to have been rejected by a handful of people who forced themselves to remain tarawih in the mosque , thereby potentially increasing Covid-19 transmission. The public is also encouraged to continue worshiping at home to break the chain of transmission of Covid-19.
Comparing a market that remains open and a mosque that is closed is certainly a mistake . P erlu in mind that the market or atm remain open as a compulsion to be their food needs.
Whereas worship at home in a pandemic condition would certainly be permissible. If in the mosque, of course the potential of the crowd will still be there if the congregational prayers are carried out, physical distancing will be violated by the worshipers.
The policy for worship at home certainly does not only apply to Muslims, but all religions and all places of worship.
Indonesian Vice President Ma’ruf Amin asked all Muslims in Indonesia to be patient by not going to houses of worship in order to reduce the spread of the covid-19 virus. Ma’ruf also acknowledged that the test of patience faced by Muslims this time is far more difficult than in the past.
Ma’ruf Amin also hopes that the moment of Ramadhan this time can be used as a reminder and increase patience and sincerity of all Muslims to protect themselves and avoid danger to themselves and others.
This is important so that fasting does not only bring benefits to individuals, but also to others around them.
The invitation to worship at home is certainly one of the efforts to implement large-scale social restrictions (PSBB). By not carrying out tarawih in the mosque, this is certainly one of the active efforts of Muslims to cut off co-19 transmission.
On a different occasion, Indonesian President Joko Widodo has also emphasized that, although covid-19 does not last long in the humid and hot air according to the latest research, residents are asked to remain disciplined to carry out health protocols, mainly by using masks, diligently washing hands and keep worshiping in House.
Spokesperson for Vice President Masduki Baidowi said that the scholars who were members of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) were expected to make persuasive efforts at the mosque’s administrators.
Masduki has also revealed that the MUI fatwa has stressed that red zone areas are not allowed to gather at close range such as praying in congregation at a mosque or mosque.
Masduki also added that Vice President Ma’ruf Amin hoped that the ulemas would always invite the security forces to take a soft approach to those who remained stubborn.
In the midst of the co-19 pandemic, discipline in the application of physical distancing is the key to the success or failure of an area in overcoming the co-19 pandemic.
MUI Secretary General KH Anwar Abbas stressed the call not to hold tarawih prayers in the mosque is not only done with a religious approach. Appeals to the health approach are equally important to implement.
According to him, in the approach and education of health workers, of course, it will be conveyed about the ways of spreading Covid-19 and the impact that can occur if contracting.
MUI Fatwa No. 14 of 2020 regarding the implementation of Worship in the situation of the 19th plague, there are legal provisions for healthy people and people who have not been known to be exposed to Covid-19 or not.
We also need to know, the contents of the fatwa is, if someone is in an area with high or very high transmission potential based on the provisions of the authorities, then he may leave Friday prayers, and instead is to perform the midday prayer at the residence.
Then what about the hadith “who leaves three times the Friday prayer without senility, surely he was written as an infidel / hypocrite (HR at-Th read)
This was responded by the Bahtsul Masail Institute for the Nahdlatul Ulama Executive Board (LBM PBNU) conveying the view of the Friday Prayers in the 19th coinfected area, that people who did not perform Friday prayers 3 times because of the 19th co-elderly were not included in the class of people in question. in the hadith as an infidel.
Covid-19 pandemic is certainly a test that must be passed with patience, an appeal to always worship at home is not necessarily an appeal to distance yourself from the Creator, but the appeal exists because of the need for the role of the whole community to break the chain of distribution of Covid-19.
