CIDISS – Tangkuhis Fruit, also known as Cat eye, a type of fruit lychee. The fruit is origin from Borneo and is found only in the forests of Borneo. Its hard skin but not too thick, serrated protects the meat thin sweet from the outside air. The skin of raw fruit is still green and when it is ripe and ready to be consuming then the color changed to brownish. But there is also another kind of green until ripe.
So opened a clear white flesh looks similar to Kelengkeng fruit but more thin, it feels almost the same tasty, sweet and legit (sticky and sweet). Also it has black golden brown seeds. Tangkuhis seeds dominate the immensity of this fruit almost 75% of all its forms in addition to skin and flesh is thin.
This plant also spread from Indonesia to Sabah Malaysia. But the presence of fruit and the tree is rare.
Starting from this, the Government of Barito Utara Regency, Central Kalimantan this year 2016 began developing 300 seeds Tangkuhis. The head of the Department of Agriculture Fisheries and Animal Husbandry of Barito Utara, devoted Gratitude, stated that it make his party development the Tangkuhis fruit.
“The effort of developing hundreds of seeds by way of grafting is intended to prevent the extinction of the seasonal fruit,” he said like in AntaranewsKalteng.com.
Previously these plants were already developed some years ago. This year will deliver the seed to the community for free in nine districts. Then, it will be cultivated by farmers. The spreading of these seeds to add to the collection of fruits in the center Holtikultura nurseries of Barito Utara regency in the State road Kilometer 7 of Muara Teweh – Puruk Cahu became the location of agro-tourism in the area.
