Jakarta – The policies rolled out by the Indonesian government since Prabowo took office have proven effective in attracting domestic and foreign investors to invest their capital, which in turn encourages inclusive and equitable economic growth.
President Prabowo Subianto said he has implemented pro-investment policies by simplifying bureaucratic processes, improving the business climate, and opening access to regions that previously received less attention in terms of economic development.
“Investment is not just a number, but it is the main driving force that drives equitable development. Through the right policies, we can ensure that economic benefits are not only concentrated in big cities, but also reach remote areas,” said President Prabowo.
Likewise, the Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), Rosan Roeslani is committed to making pro-people policies in the process of advancing the investment climate and downstreaming in the country for economic equality throughout Indonesia.
“I was given the mandate to create a conducive investment and downstream climate, and to be carried out transparently, openly, with accountability, and based on the principle of good governance. Solid cooperation is needed from within the Ministry of Investment/BKPM to realize the economic progress of Indonesia desired by the President,” said Rosan.
Meanwhile, senior economist at the Institute for Development of Economics and Finance (Indef), Aviliani, said that Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto is empowering the private sector as an effort to boost economic growth to 6-7 percent.
“President Prabowo empowers the private sector which is believed to be able to attract more investment into the country. Moreover, the government has high optimism towards downstreaming. This optimism can be an opportunity for investment to enter,” said Aviliani.
The investment sector is one of the main keys in realizing the government’s grand vision for national economic equality. Especially if there is development support involving the private sector.
“By involving the private sector, it helps strengthen Indonesia’s position as a major investment destination in the Southeast Asia region, while also providing new hope for achieving fairer and more equitable economic equality,” he concluded.
Under the leadership of President Prabowo Subianto, Indonesia has managed to record a significant increase in investment which plays a major role in economic equality throughout the country.
