It is time for people from various circles to begin to understand the number of benefits provided by the Job Creation Law (UU) for private employees, factory workers, and daily freelance  workers . This is because the government and academics have shown an optimistic attitude towards the Job Creation Law because it has a significant positive impact on the Indonesian economy.

Especially regional communities who are far from the central government need outreach from regional governments regarding the Job Creation Law. So the Job Creation Law socialization team has started to socialize. As has been done by the regional government in Payakumbuh, West Sumatra.

Acting Mayor of Payakumbuh, Jasman opened the socialization activity of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 6 of 2023 concerning the stipulation of Government Regulations in Lieu of Law Number 2 of 2023 concerning Job Creation at the Mangkuto Hotel on November 14 2023.

Jasman said that in 2020 the government issued Law number 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation which reaped pros and cons in society. In the end, the law was revoked with Perppu Number 2 of 2022. In 2023, Law Number 6 of 2023 was issued again regarding the ratification of Perppu Number 2 of 2022 into law.

In response to this, the Payakumbuh City Government invites all employment stakeholders, namely employers, employers’ associations, trade unions and workers to study this law.

With the hope that all parties domiciled in Payakumbuh can understand the intent and purpose of these regulations comprehensively, and one of the efforts is through socialization carried out on this occasion. He said that the government actually makes regulations to improve the welfare of its people, as is the case with Law No. 6 of 2023. Regardless of the pros and cons so far, this law is valid and we must obey and adhere to it together as law-abiding citizens.

Jasman added that in this regard, on behalf of the Payakumbuh city government, we ask all companies in Payakumbuh City to implement all labor regulations, both laws and implementing regulations such as government regulations and related ministry regulations.

He said that by complying with all labor regulations by companies, industrial relations disputes can be prevented, because the parties can carry out their rights and obligations as they should.

Jasman said that the condition of industrial relations in the city of Payakumbuh has so far been quite harmonious, this can be seen from the small number of cases of dispute complaints reported to the Payakumbuh City Manpower and Industry Service.

In line with the socialization activities of the Job Creation Law, the South Oku Regency Government (Pemkab) also socialized the implementation of risk-based business licensing to business actors in the area.

Head of the South Ogan Komering Ulu (OKUS) PMPTSP Service, Haris Munandar attended and opened the Technical Guidance/Socialization activity on the Implementation of Risk-Based Business Licensing, Wednesday 8 November 2023 at the Samudera Muaradua Hotel.

This activity refers to Law no. 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation, Government Regulation no. 5 of 2021 concerning the Implementation of Risk-Based Business Licensing and Regulation of the Investment Coordinating Board of the Republic of Indonesia No. 3 of 2022 concerning Technical Instructions for the Use of Non-Physical Special Allocation Funds to Facilitate Capital Investment for the 2023 Fiscal Year.

Participants in this technical guidance consist of large business actors, and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and Cooperatives totaling 203 people. while Andri Irawan, S.KOM., M.KOM, acted as resource person. This activity aims to improve the quality of understanding of Business Actors regarding Business Licensing through OSS-RBA who invest in the District. South OKU, improving the investment ecosystem and business activities.

At the opening of this Bimtek, Haris Munandar expressed his gratitude for the presence of the participants and the committee who had made this activity a success. Business participants are encouraged to immediately register their business to obtain a Business Identification Number (NIB).

It is hoped that all participants who take part in this activity will seriously understand and be able to apply it in their business, they will help their residents with their business, so synergy of support is requested, and those who do not yet have a business permit will immediately register because there is absolutely no fee whatsoever.

The concept of Risk-Based Business Licensing prioritizes the principle of  “Trust but Verify”  , namely by simplifying the process of issuing business permits but strengthening supervision of the implementation of business activities, in the sense that the Government will provide trust to business actors by providing various conveniences and speeds with various breakthroughs in obtaining business licensing.

From the outreach activities that have been carried out in the local area, it shows that there is a sense of enthusiasm from the local government to introduce the Job Creation Law to residents. Because this law is intended to improve the welfare of society and it is hoped that all related parties and citizens will have no difficulty in following it.
