The construction of a fertilizer factory in West Papua is a concrete manifestation of the strong commitment to efforts to realize national food security carried out by the Indonesian Government. Therefore, all traditional leaders in Bumi Cenderawasih also continue to provide full support because it is hoped that this will further improve the welfare of the Papuan people.
The Big Arfak Tribe has expressed their strong commitment, which will continue to be partners and will also continue to work together with the Government of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) and the local Regional Government (Pemda) to continue developing the Earth of Cenderawasih, especially in West Papua Province.
Regarding this strong commitment, the Chief of the Arfak Tribe, Do Minggus Mandacan, said that his party continues to fully support the development that has been intensified in all fields, which is also carried out by the West Papua Provincial Government (Pemprov).
According to him, with the acceleration of development in Bumi Cenderawasih carried out optimally and optimally, the people in the Big Arfak Tribe will automatically be able to experience an increase in welfare too. Not half-hearted, Do Minggus also said that other tribal chiefs throughout Papua also hoped that Bumi Cenderawasih could continue to experience progress and in the future would be able to have much better competitiveness with other provinces in the country.
The tribal chiefs see all the enthusiasm that has been intensified by the Indonesian Government that the development carried out by the government has a whole-hearted spirit, especially to be able to unite with love and be able to further make Papua much safer, more prosperous and dignified.
Therefore, all figures and also other tribal heads continue to provide full support for development in West Papua Province and other Regencies and/or Cities in West Papua. All people from various elements in Bumi Cenderawaih have not failed to give their full support and all parties want full success in accelerating development in all sectors.
Various sectors in Papua still need improvement, whether in the education, health, infrastructure, people’s economy sectors, as is the strong commitment from the Indonesian Government to involve all roles of the community itself. So that in this way, the entire community will be able to achieve more optimal prosperity, starting from the individual, family and also the environment. In this way, it is not impossible that Papua will be able to progress further and continue to be able to compete with other provinces in Indonesia.
Meanwhile, Chairman of West Papua Flobamora Harmony, Clinton Tallo, also expressed his great hope that the government will clearly be able to not only accelerate the development of the welfare of the Papuan people, but also be increasingly able to provide attention to people in all corners of Indonesia.
For this reason, all elements starting from all Indonesian figures continue to unite and become more unified to fully support the role of the Indonesian Government in working together with the entire community. All elements also assess that the government’s role so far has been very good in meeting all community needs, including realizing national food security.
It is known that in commemoration of Food Day 2023, PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur (Pupuk Kaltim) demonstrated the vital role they have in maintaining food security in the country with various strategic initiatives carried out.
One of these initiatives is to establish a new fertilizer factory in the Fakfak industrial area, West Papua. The factory, which is included in the 9PSN0 State Strategic Project, was also built to help meet growing market demand and also be able to realize the increase in fertilizer needs which is estimated to reach up to 6 to 7 tonnes by 2030.
The coordination carried out to create national food security in Papua is also assisted by the Regional Government, namely the Manokwari Regency Government, West Papua Province through the Agriculture and Food Security Service to hold cheap markets to increase food security.
Manokwari Regent Hermus Indou himself said that the cheap market was part of the government’s Cheap Food Movement (GPM) program which aims to increase food security in society. Considering that food security is very important, it does not rule out the possibility of further reducing the rate of inflation, especially in Papua.
The Indonesian government has a very strong commitment to realizing national food security. As a manifestation of this real commitment, the construction of a fertilizer factory in West Papua has resulted in it being increasingly able to reduce the inflation rate there, as well as further supporting the accelerated development of Bumi Cenderawasih.
