The development of the National Capital City (IKN) of the Archipelago seems to have received full support from the Local Government. The agenda for moving the IKN from DKI Jakarta to East Kalimantan (Kaltim) makes it the right momentum for South Kalimantan (Kalsel) to improve and organize regional development to welcome South Kalimantan as one of the archipelago’s IKN buffer zones.

Banjar Regency as part of South Kalimantan also fully supports all efforts that will be made in welcoming the transfer of the IKN.

Banjar Regent H Saidi Mansyur on the occasion of the Cross-sectoral Coordination Meeting (Rakor) in the context of discussing the Draft Regional Regulation Concerning the South Kalimantan Provincial Spatial Planning (RTRT), Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency, at the Sheraton Grand Jakarta Gandaria City, Jakarta.

Saidi Mansyur emphatically said, the Banjar Regency Government fully supports IKN Nusantara in East Kalimantan and has also synergized support through the Banjar Bakula collaboration.

The preparation of the RTRW and RDTR in the Banjar Regency area is intended to be able to realize a harmonious spatial plan in economic, social and environmental aspects. In addition, the spatial planning that was carried out was also an effort for Banjar Regency to prepare itself for a bigger role, namely as a food barn for IKN Nusantara.

On this occasion also attended the Head of DKISP HM Aidil Basith and Anna Rosida Santi as Head of DPUPRP. Ana Rosida Santi said, as a rice barn in South Kalimantan, Banjar Regency feels the need to maintain and increase its rice production.

Namely by determining agricultural lands that are not converted through the preparation of a spatial plan which is then passed into Regional Regulation Number 4 of 2021 concerning the Banjar Regency RTRW for 2021-2041 and Banjar Regent Regulation Number 9 of 2023 concerning RDTR for the Peat-Kertak Hanyar Urban Area .

On the same occasion, the Regent of Banjar, H. Saidi Mansyur, handed over a regional head’s regulation regarding the Peat-Kertak Hanyar RDTR to the Ministry of ATR/BPN RI.

The construction of the IKN is a mega project so it takes years, the people in Kalimantan are amazed by the concept of the IKN even though the construction has not been completed. IKN Nusantara is not just the capital city of Buasa, not a mega city with giant buildings like Jakarta, but will become a sophisticated green city .

Various parties support the smooth development of IKN Nusantara. Previously, the Ansor Youth Movement together with the NU Banser of Sepaku District, North Penajam Paser Regency held a Gathering and Istighosah, at the Zero Point Hall, last Sunday, March 19 2023. This activity is structured by a declaration or statement ready to support the smooth development of National Archipelagic Sciences at Sepaku PPU which is safe and conducive.

The head of PAC Ansor Sepaku Hendro Susilo stated that the purpose of this gathering was to bring all the communities under the auspices of NU closer together to work together so that the development of the IKN would run smoothly, safely and conducively.

Support from various parties is of course very important, moreover the development of IKN will have a multiplier effect, both economically, socially, and branding as a capital city. Such as changes in progress, economic improvement and prosperity for local communities.

On a different occasion, the Secretary of the Sepaku sub-district, Adi Kustaman, said that the local government already has data regarding local youth and their skills. These data have now been provided to the Ministry of Manpower (Kemenaker) to be followed up as job placements for local youths.

With digital technology, IKN will become a smart city. This digital technology will be applied to transportation systems, building maintenance, energy use efficiency and various activities of daily life.

Digitalization is the first step of the next steps in making IKN later a city that can become a role model, both in Indonesia and in the world.

In addition, the local government’s support is also evident from the construction of the Buluminung Port from the regional government, this port was built as a means of loading and unloading materials and logistics for development. The position of this port is strategic because it is located at the entrance to Balikpapan Bay.

Head of the North Penajam Paser District Transportation Office, Ahmad, said that the port was previously used for loading and unloading of crude palm oil (CPO).

The central government will also provide a budget of around Rp. 28 billion in 2023 to expand and upgrade Buluminung Port.

Meanwhile, the North Penajam Paser Regency Government has also prepared 2 hectares of land to carry out the development and improvement of the Buluminung Port.

The preparation of supporting infrastructure to support the development of IKN by the two agencies shows that the development of IKN Nusantara is an inclusive city for all groups.

In its development progress, IKN also requires support from many parties, including the district government and the local government for the smooth running of the megaprojects that have been touted for a long time.
