Indonesia’s participation in the 2023 Hannover Messe has achieved a brilliant achievement by encouraging six companies to invest a total of USD 800 million in the Wiraraja Industrial Area, Kabil, Batam City, Riau Archipelago Province.
Eko Cahyanto, Director General of Regional Resilience and International Industrial Access at the Ministry of Industry, stated that this success was inseparable from Indonesia’s role as a partner country in the 2023 Hannover Messe.
“In the future, the Ministry of Industry will continue to promote and accelerate the realization of foreign investment coming into Indonesia,” Cahyanto said in a statement in Jakarta on Thursday.
The six companies involved in this investment include PT Apollo Solar Indonesia, PT Marubeni Global Indonesia, PT Tynergy Technology Group, PT Wiraraja Yunan International, PT Alpha Solar Indonesia, and Jaya Electrical Energy. It is estimated that this investment will create jobs for around 13 thousand people.
This success is also inseparable from the support of various stakeholders, including the Indonesian Consulate General in Los Angeles, who is coordinating with the ministry to facilitate Tynergy’s investment plan in Indonesia.
The Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto, who was present at the “Opening of the Six Companies” event in Batam on June 5, stated that Indonesia is one of the G20 countries that has been most successful in economic recovery.
In the first quarter of 2023, Indonesia’s economic growth reached 5.03 percent compared to the previous year. This proves Indonesia’s ability to deal well with the impact of the pandemic.
“The opening of six companies in the Wiraraja Industrial Area is an important moment for Indonesia in efforts to recover the economy after the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as accelerating increased industrial competitiveness and national economic growth,” said Minister Hartarto.
In addition, the decision of these six companies to invest in Indonesia is the result of the government’s commitment to promoting the country’s investment potential and providing convenience for investors.
In his speech, Minister Hartarto also emphasized that the government is providing various attractive incentives, such as tax holidays, tax subsidies, import duty exemptions and super tax reductions, with the aim of attracting business people to invest in Indonesia.
With an investment of USD 800 million, Indonesia is increasingly showing its potential as an attractive investment destination for international companies. It is hoped that this investment can make a significant contribution in increasing economic growth, creating jobs, and strengthening industrial competitiveness in Indonesia.
