President Prabowo Subianto has firmly demonstrated his commitment to completing the development of the infrastructure of the Indonesian Capital City (IKN) within four years. This project is one of the government’s top priorities that is currently being worked on seriously, and President Prabowo promised to complete all basic IKN facilities needed to support government operations. This was conveyed by President Prabowo in a series of briefings with the Red and White Cabinet at the Magelang Military Academy, where the President gave direct instructions to his cabinet members to make the completion of the IKN a priority.

President Prabowo targets that the IKN infrastructure will not only be partially completed, but complete in the sense that it will cover the three main pillars of government functions, namely the executive, legislative, and judicial buildings. According to a statement from the Minister of Forestry Raja Juli Antoni who received direct direction from President Prabowo, the President hopes that the construction of the legislative and judicial buildings can be completed together with the executive building which is currently almost finished. This shows that President Prabowo has a vision to make the IKN a complete and comprehensive center of government, so that government functions can operate smoothly without any facility constraints.

On the other hand, Minister of State Secretary, Prasetyo Hadi, reaffirmed President Prabowo’s statement by stating that the President is targeting all basic infrastructure to be completed in three to four years. This not only emphasizes the speed of completion, but also the quality and utility of these facilities for government needs, both at the executive level and in the legislative and judicial realms. That way, all state institutions can function optimally in this new location, making the IKN a symbol of modernization and efficiency of Indonesian governance.

President Prabowo is also determined that the IKN can be the venue for the DPR/MPR Plenary Session in August 2028. This target reflects full dedication to the development of the IKN which is seen as a representation of the new face of Indonesia, a capital city that not only symbolizes administrative relocation, but also a change in the paradigm of development and governance. President Prabowo wants that in 2029, the inauguration of the President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia can be held at the IKN, making it a symbol of transition that is more than just a physical relocation but also the development of a more integrated and focused government.

President Prabowo does not only rely on planning, but also implements a number of strategies and acceleration methods in the development of the IKN. One of them is by building priority infrastructure in the near future, so that main routes, public access, and other basic needs can be immediately available. In a four-year time frame, President Prabowo focused on the construction of main buildings and public infrastructure so that they can function as centers of government activities. The presence of former Minister of PUPR, Basuki Hadimuljono, as a candidate for Head of the IKN Authority is a strategic step to realize President Prabowo’s vision. Basuki, who is known as the maestro of infrastructure development, is expected to accelerate the construction process and ensure the quality of each building according to international standards.

Chairman of Commission II, Rifqinizamy Karsayuda, from the NasDem Party supports President Prabowo’s seriousness in completing the IKN project immediately. Rifqi hopes that President Prabowo will immediately issue a Presidential Regulation as a legal umbrella for the implementation and continuation of the IKN development, which is expected to provide legal certainty and smoothness in every stage of development. This Presidential Regulation is expected to accelerate the process of moving the capital city, as well as provide clarity for government agencies that will soon move to the IKN.

As a leader who always emphasizes the importance of structured and planned development, President Prabowo Subianto shows a firm vision to complete the IKN project. This commitment is demonstrated by concrete steps, including accelerating the development of basic infrastructure and providing public facilities needed so that the new capital can function optimally in a relatively short time. President Prabowo wants to ensure that the IKN will not only be the center of government, but also a city that can be an example of progress, sustainability, and modernization.

Along with the central government’s commitment, support from various institutions and national leaders also strengthens optimism that this four-year target can be achieved. The participation of institutions such as the IKN Authority, related ministries, and parliamentary support demonstrates an understanding of the importance of completing the construction of the capital city within the targeted time. All elements of government under the direction of President Prabowo are expected to work with full focus, without ignoring important details in development.

President Prabowo’s strong commitment confirms that his government will not be half-hearted in completing the IKN. Through clear instructions, measurable targets, and the selection of competent people in the infrastructure sector, President Prabowo shows his sincerity and dedication in ensuring that the IKN can stand majestically and become a symbol of Indonesia’s revival towards the 2045 vision. President Prabowo also emphasized that this development is not only for today, but for future generations who will inherit and utilize the facilities and opportunities available at the IKN.

With all the preparations, strategies, and resources allocated for the development of the IKN, the hope of completing this project within four years is not just talk, but a concrete step that is carefully designed and prepared.
