President Prabowo Committed to Continuing Development of IKN

Jakarta – The Indonesian Capital Authority (OIKN) has reaffirmed its belief that President Prabowo Subianto will prioritize the development of the Indonesian Capital City (IKN). This was conveyed by the Acting Deputy for Facilities and Infrastructure of OIKN, Danis Sumadilaga, in a press conference held at the MPR/DPR Parliament complex, Jakarta.

According to Danis, there is a development target that has been set until 2028.

“The target for the development of the IKN will continue until 2028. We ensure that there is no reduction in the speed of this development,” said Danis.

The statement was in response to various speculations regarding the possibility of delaying the IKN project under Prabowo’s leadership.

Prabowo is believed to build a complete ecosystem in the IKN, including collaboration between the executive, legislative, and judiciary. Thus, the IKN is expected to not only be the center of government, but also a symbol of Indonesia’s progress and modernization.

“The development of the IKN is an important step to create better infrastructure and support sustainable economic growth,” added Danis.

In addition, Forestry Minister Raja Juli Antoni revealed that Prabowo has an ambitious plan to complete the construction of the IKN within four years. This statement was delivered during a ministerial briefing session at Akmil Magelang.

“He has underlined his commitment to completing the construction of the IKN in a relatively short period,” said Raja Juli on his Instagram account.

On the other hand, many parties also support President Prabowo regarding the sustainability of the development of the IKN which is considered for the future of Indonesia because it reminds of the importance of a strong political commitment so that this project runs according to plan.

Meanwhile, with a clear commitment from President Prabowo and a structured development plan, OIKN is optimistic that the IKN will be realized as a modern and competitive capital city. The development of the IKN is not only about moving the center of government, but also creating a space that supports innovation, sustainability, and a better quality of life for all Indonesian people.

With the spirit of collaboration and innovation, the development of the IKN is expected to be a driving force for national economic growth and realize the vision of a better Indonesia in the future.
