The development of the Archipelago’s National Capital (IKN) in East Kalimantan seems to have received support from many parties, this of course deserves appreciation.
Marsudi Syuhud as Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) supports the government’s move to move IKN from Jakarta to the archipelago for the common good. He also asked that all elements of society be asked to support this step.
In his official statement, Marsudi said, for him the task of the state is to actually develop state affairs, such as building the National Archipelagic National Museum in East Kalimantan is a must. Because it aims for the benefit of the whole community, of course it must get support.
Marsudi assessed that the new capital city could be built without having to forget Jakarta. He then gave the example of the Prophet Muhammad SAW who migrated from Mecca to Medina. The momentum of the migration was the Prophet’s effort to help build the city of Medina without forgetting Mecca, which was the city of his birth. This means that as a nation we still have to love Jakarta and at the same time love Kalimantan, which is designated as the region that will become the National Capital.
Marsudi also explained that Fiqh Daulah or state fiqh has taught that when a policy is decided by the government and it is seen as for the benefit of society, the people must support it.
Marsudi also understands that not all people can agree with the government’s decision regarding the transfer of the IKN due to various considerations. However, he is sure that the government has considered various aspects before deciding to move the capital city.
On the other hand, the man who once served as Chairman of the Tandfidzyah PBNU also explained that there are two main things that must be considered in an IKN development. First, development must prosper the region and develop its economy. He said, IKN Nusantara aims to develop and equalize the economy. At least the people’s economy will improve, and there will be an even distribution of population. So it’s not only centered on the island of Java.
He continued, Marsudi said that the determination of Kalimantan Island as the new capital city was correct. Because, geographically, Kalimantan tends to be safe from potential disasters such as earthquakes and volcanic eruptions.
Meanwhile, the expected support for the transfer of IKN also came from the Dayak Indigenous People who expressed their full support for the plan to relocate IKN from Java to Kalimantan. This support from indigenous peoples was conveyed by the President of the National Dayak Customary Council, Marthin Bila, during a National Working Meeting (Rakernas) in Balikpapan last week.
The National Working Meeting of the Dayak Indigenous Peoples is the first time it has been held. In addition to formulating programs and evaluations, this National Working Meeting also aims to express support for the transfer of IKN from Jakarta to East Kalimantan.
The Governor of East Kalimantan, Isran Noor, thinks that the issue of moving the IKN is not only for economic development and equitable distribution of development. However, he emphasized that it was time for IKN to be on the island of Kalimantan, which experts call fertile land and minimal risk of disaster.
On a different occasion, Roro Epi Hewi Nur Layni Kusumawati, as Chair of the Pelangi Kencana Women Farmers Group Association (PKWT) for the City of Balikpapan, said that PKWT Pelangi Kencana strongly supports the development of IKN Nusantara in East Kalimantan. It is believed that the transfer of IKN to East Kalimantan will bring positive aspects to the people of Balikpapan City.
Improving human resources and abilities/skills is of course very important because with the IKN, human resources will arrive from outside East Kalimantan, such as Java, Bali and Sumatra, who are certain to have superior and advanced human resources and abilities compared to the human resources of the local East Kalimantan community, especially Balikpapan. The increase in human resources and capabilities carried out by PKWT City of Balikpapan aims to be able to compete with human resources / migrant workers who will also be involved and work at IKN Nusantara.
Syaparudin as Head of the Samarinda Mayoral Team for Development Acceleration (TWAP) said, the presence of IKN will certainly be able to bring big changes to Kalimantan, especially East Kalimantan Province in accelerating development in all fields.
According to him, changes occurred mainly around the IKN or IKN buffer areas, such as Penajam Paser Utara, Paser Kutai Kartanegara, West Kutai, East Kutai, Bontang City, Balikpapan and Samarinda.
Syaparudin believes that there will be major changes in the buffer zones because the concept of IKN development uses the principles of equity and justice for the entire archipelago. The location of the IKN is in the central region of Indonesia so that the affected areas will be evenly distributed, unlike in Jakarta which is in the western part.
The man who is familiarly called Sapar said that the construction of the IKN as meant by President Joko Widodo, namely building from East Kalimantan, is the same as making the national capital as Indonesia-centric. Because so far development in Indonesia has been impressed by Java-centric because development has been conceptualized in Java.
The development of the Archipelago IKN has received support from various elements, this support certainly adds to the optimism of many parties towards the progress of the Archipelago IKN development.
