CIDISS – Ecosystem Restoration efforts have permission for multi effort in exploiting its results that do not rely on wood. According to Kasubdit the restoration of the ecosystem of the Ministry of environment and forestry of the Republic of Indonesia, Happy Rezkiana, such as in Borneonews, explains, there are many activities exploiting forest products from the forest restoration.
“If non timber forest products like rattan and jelutung, there is another area with utilization of breeding, farming and environmental services, such as water flow of the river tours, rafting,” said Happy.
Happy describes the location of the restoration of the Ecosystem in Central Kalimantan province including Kotawaringin Timur area is about 49,620 Ha, and according to Happy, some of its has many potentials. To know some of that potential, it will be further observation, such as tourist areas and habitats that need to be protected.
In the processing of the forest, happy said, there is a mechanism of the work plan. Among them, manage the ecology such as restoring the damaged flora, biodiversity protection by improving wildlife habitat.
