CIDISS – Education is a way to increase the quality of person. By this way, a person will have a new hope to the future. It is assigned in UUD 1945 in the third line of opening; the mandate is educate the citizen.

It is jobs all party to take a part in Indonesian education, either formal or non formal.  But, many problems often heard of the Education in Indonesian, starting from changing curricula and minister, budget, facility, etc.

As far area from capital city Jakarta or province, remote area is often seem like never get attention from government, starting facility until supporting facility for education. Lately, media wrote again about bad news from Education face in Indonesian.

Kelotok (boat with diesel engine and made from wood) of students of SMAN 1 Petak Bahandang sank in Katingan River, Monday (5/9/2015) ago. 16 students consist of 8 male and 8 female students become victims on the accidents. The Kelotok is sailed by student itself.

On the cold morning, the students will go to school for leaning, but there were leaking in their boat. It is because there were rotten wood. Lucky, there is no dying student on that accidents, it is because the student is clever on swimming. But, their uniform and book was wet.

The SMA (Senior High School) is in Katingan Regency, Central Kalimantan province. The student must pass the river by boat (kelotok) Everyday, because there is no road for access. Then, boat or kelotok is the only one vehicle to do in activity.

The boat as vehicle facility for student in the village needs big attention from Government. If we compare to student who study in capital city, they use bus as transportation. We hope there are no differences between them in education facility.

Then, education in Kotawaringin Timur regency, also need big attention. Much school has unworthy buildings. Such in SDN 1 (Elementary school) Cempaka Mulia barat in Cempaga district, the school building is almost fell apart.

The land which as restriction school and river slowly is going lost (landslide) because of rain. The school party hopes thorough Education Board will soon take action before the building is really fallen apart.

By two examples above, making us more aware and wise toward Education sector, young people is asset of the country.
