In Central Kalimantan: The Highest Economic Growth Came from Mines

CIDISS – Central Bureau of Statistics Central Kalimantan, record of mining business and excavation is the highest source of economic growth for the province of Central Kalimantan quarterly I year 2016. The growth is in numbers 5.17 percent.

In addition, there is a new phenomenon in Barito Utara Regency that coal production in the quarter I of 2016 reached 3.2 million tones, so it make mining and excavation of the highest economic growth in Central Kalimantan if seen from the field of business.

Moreover Hanif said that in a gross domestic product (GDP) on the basis of the applicable price reached IDR 26.670.8 billion.

“The main source of economic growth in Central Kalimantan quarter I-2016 is the processing industry of 0.97 percent, followed by a big trade and retail as well as repair both car and motorcycle of 0.91%, and Government Administration, defense and social security 0.69 per cent,” said him.

Hanif added, GDP expenditure according to the province of Central Kalimantan, dominated the export component 44.94 percent, gross fixed capital formation 44.25 percent and household consumption spending 42.33 percent. “The contribution of economic growth on the island of Borneo to 6.67 percent Nationwide,” said Hanif.
