Infrastructure Development Positive Impact for Social and Economic Development of the People

Infrastructure development is one of the important pillars in promoting economic growth and improving the well-being of the people. Good infrastructure not only supports economic growth, but also affects the quality of social life of people. One of the biggest positive impacts of infrastructure development is improved accessibility and mobility. With good highways, bridges, and transportation systems, people can easily access a variety of services and markets. This not only accelerates the distribution of goods and services, but also opens up new opportunities for local business operators. Better access allows companies to expand their market reach and make it easier for citizens to get the products and services they need.
The National Strategic Project (PSN) has become a major focus in infrastructure development efforts and economic growth in various regions of Indonesia. The economic benefits of the project can be equal and sustainable, thanks to efforts to strengthen local economic capacity, through the empowerment of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) and skills training for the local workforce.
The government is committed to creating national connectivity to support economic growth and the expansion of development degradation. One of these attempts was made in the Jabotabek area on the construction of the Tol Cimanggis-Cibitung road. The Vice President, K.H. Ma’ruf Amin said that Tol Cimanggis-Cibitung which is also one of these PSNs, will boost the efficiency and effectiveness of economic activities in this region which will subsequently contribute to regional and national economic development.

These investments are often accompanied by job creation, which in turn increases public income and reduces unemployment.
Adequate infrastructure also contributes to improving the quality of life of people. Facilities such as stable clean water, sanitation, and electricity systems play an important role in public health and well-being. Good health and education infrastructure ensures better access to quality health services and education, which can improve the overall standard of living.

In the modern era, it is important to pay attention to the environmental impact of infrastructure development. Sustainable development focuses not only on economic efficiency but also on environmental protection. Environmentally friendly infrastructure, such as renewable energy systems and green transport, can reduce negative environmental impacts and ensure that economic growth does not damage ecosystems.
The move of the New Capital is also one of the efforts and steps of the government in developing the socio-economic community. The member of the II Commission of the DPR RI, Son Agung Bagus Adhi Mahendra Putra said that the first phase of ICT development has had a positive impact on the development of the local economy. This can be seen from the development of the surrounding residential community that has been much renovated into a livable house as well as the economic slump of the community is very visible. Despite the challenges, with mature planning, public involvement, and the use of technology, infrastructure development can have a significant positive impact on the social and economic development of a country. From improved accessibility and mobility, to boosting local economic growth and improving the quality of life, the benefits of infrastructure are obvious. However, it is important to ensure that infrastructure development is carried out with a view to sustainability and environmental impact so that the benefits can be by future generations.
