It is fitting for Lukas Enembe to be truly responsible before the law regarding the corruption case that ensnared him. Especially because Indonesia is a state of law, so all parties will be treated equally in the eyes of the law without exception.
In recent days, the name Lukas Enembe continues to be the subject of news and becomes a topic of public discussion. The reason is that he is suspected of being involved in corruption and gratuities cases, including some suspicious flows of funds concerning his name.
Regarding this, the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, Mahfud MD, said that so far, it seems that there are still several things that are blocking the way the Papuan Government runs their government. One example is regarding the implementation of the PON which was held in Bumi Cendrawasih some time ago.
Mahfud MD said that before one event actually ended, the Papuan government again submitted a request for funds to the central government. Even though it is no longer a secret that the implementation of PON itself does consume a very large amount of funds.
Then, when the Central Government wanted to ask for an accountability report related to the organization of the previous event, there was absolutely no data report. On the other hand, the Regional Government of Papua has even asked for funding from the Central Government. This practice then obviously raises a huge question mark and at the same time raises accusations and allegations against the Papuan government, including Lukas Enembe.
Not only that, but the name of the Governor of Papua first surfaced when there was a finding from the PPATK which revealed that there was a suspicious flow of funds regarding his name, even with an amount of Rp. 560 billion. In addition, Lukas Enembe himself has officially become a suspect after allegations from the KPK that he had received gratuities in the amount of Rp. 1 billion related to the Papuan APBD.
Furthermore, Coordinating Minister Mahfud also added that the Governor of Papua was once again suspected of abusing Special Autonomy (Otsus) in the amount of up to trillions of rupiah, including he had mentioned the blocking of cash from an account belonging to Lukas Enembe which contained Rp 71 billion. .
For information, the Central Government itself is really very concerned and committed to developing the Land of Papua so that it can develop and the people become prosperous. This is evident from how the Special Autonomy funds disbursed in the Lukas Enembe era alone were worth more than Rp 500 trillion. But in fact, according to Mahfud MD, until now the condition of the Papuan community itself is still shackled with poverty and seems to indicate that the Special Autonomy funds of that size cannot be used as well as possible.
Regarding all these allegations of corruption, actually Lukas Enembe himself has also tried to be summoned by the KPK several times, but he has never attended the summons. The Director of Papua Anticorruption, Anton Raharusun then said that if the Governor of Papua continues to act like that, then accusations and allegations will continue to flow into many things and there will be absolutely no clarity on the case.
Therefore, Anton urges and appeals to Lukas Enembe to immediately obey the summons from the KPK, so that the entire investigation process can run smoothly because later it will be clearer what cases of alleged corruption involving him are so that they do not continue to present hot balls like today.
Anton Raharusun himself said that so far there have been many allegations that continue to drag on Lukas Enembe’s name, especially regarding how the flow of funds was suspicious, the source of which was constantly being questioned whether it was from illegal sources or not. In addition, there are other allegations, such as budget irregularities, casino gambling and several purchases of luxury goods that the Governor of Papua had made.
The form of behavior carried out by Lukas Enembe by continuing to avoid the KPK’s summons and then making Religious Leaders at the GKI Sentani Papua Synod, Pastor Alberth Yoku reminded that the Governor of Papua could truly be responsible like a leader in the eyes of the law, including also that he be responsible to God in carrying out the task of serving the community.
Not only as a religious person, but indeed to carry out his official duties, Luke Enembe should really obey the regulations that have indeed been in effect and are contained in the Law in the government of the nation and state in the Republic of Indonesia.
Therefore, Alberth Yoku asked the Governor of Papua to be willing to comply with the KPK’s summons, follow the applicable legal corridors and as a public official must be pro-
